How to build a Cargo Drone FROM SCRATCH using the new AI Automatons Update... VANILLA DRONE... NO Scripts, Mods or DLC's Required.
In this Build I explain everything from why I'm using a specific block to how to set up and 'program' the timer blocks and AI Blocks to make the drone do whatever and whenever you want it to do something specific.

This was a rough 2 Hr recording that I managed to squeeze into a 23 Min video Without missing anything vital (block wise) or important in telling you how etc. I really hope this is easy to understand and follow but please leave any suggestions in the comments below, its always greatly appreciated whether it be positive or "constructive criticism", so Thanks again for all your support...
P.S. I recently lost my voice over the last couple weeks which is why I was unable to upload to YT etc. XD
I Currently have 1400+ Hours of in-game Space Engineers play, weather if I'm building and testing my designs or actually playing a survival game, in saying that I play/record when I can, around work (Chef) and my 2 y/o Son. :)

great work and thankyou for explaining it all took me a bit of time but got there in the end slowed down playback speed and put subtitles on to help me keep up with what you was doing sorry but it helped me love this game still learning and really appreciate when someone shows you how to make the game better

Great work as usual, you wouldn't happen to have a bullet point presentation of each and every step ? (I know, fussy bugger right, it's just that I can't process all that info at that speed due to brain damage) If you don't have anything like that then no probs, I'll just have to re-watch your video repeatedly till I get it all down. Have you downloaded the World Save with all the drones in it that I have available on the Workshop also? Seeing it first hand may help?

@@ShArPy1o1Games Dude, that would be so outstanding for you to do that for me. I have about 2000 hours in SE and I haven't left the planet yet. To give you fair warning, I am impaired due to a mild stroke, it wrecked my brain and I have problems forming new memory pathways and can't read properly. So with that in mind I want be insulted if you change your mind. If you are still willing I will be grateful of course and will find some way to repay your generousity. I go by the name Biv when playing games, I have a discord account but can barely use it, it's very complex. Is that enough to start? I await with baited breath. Onya mate.😬

Shmee again. I just wanted to ask your opinion on the idea of using sensors on drill ships to avoid those annoying collisions with the sides of the hole that is created when drilling for ore or making tunnels. Do you think it would work? Do you think it would be worth while? Your opinion would be valued. Onya mate. Aussie, Aussie.

If the problem you having is your drills clipping the side walls etc. Why not put drill on the sides of your Drone to widen the hole possibly? I haven't really tested anything in terms of Auto Drill Drones but I will do very soon... wanting to do a live stream using that world save so people can follow along without joining a sever specifically etc. 🤔😇😎 Thanks as always for the comments and curiosity as it has certainly tickled my brain for further projects 🤯👌

Thanks for the tutorial. Its helped me understand a few things about the AI. Im having one issue though and Im not sure how to solve it. Once the drone gets to the mine, it is supposed to trigger the RTB timer, but for some reason I dont understand, its not doing it. Any idea how to correct this? Thanks. (This is beffore you get to add in the subscribe time). Antony

My suggestion is to start at the Drones trigger timer and go through its flight plan and check all other timers and Remote Blocks/AI Blocks to make sure they are correct... The RTB has a time limit on the block to allow the transfer of resources from your mining rig before RTBing... Let me know how that goes and I'll test it out on my side sometime today as I've just finished setting up my Recording PC's to get back into uploading tutorials and my new Dronely Survival

@@ShArPy1o1Games Thanks for responding. I finally figured it out in the end (it was not releasing from the connector as I had forgotten to add in the connect time to the sequence). If you are thinking of doing some more tutorials, I would love to see one on using the event controllers to load/unload - but if possible without adding any extra piping like you do at the end, if that is possible? Im at the point of getting the ship to fly backwards and forwards to the 2 landing places, but what Im struggling with is how to set things up so that it will (in my case) - load ice at one end and unload it at the other. Again thanks for the great tutorial. Antony
