I think it was a bad choice. Le Sserafim ate when they performed Perfect Night, but NewJeans unfortunately couldn't do the same in GODS. I know at some moment the group would need to try a new concept, but i think it's too early to try this with NewJeans.

in my opinion, certain members fit each song better than their original. perfect night is more fit to chaewon, eunchae, minji, haerin, and hyein while gods is more fit to kazuha, sakura, yunjin, hanni, and danielle.

自分の考えですが、サクラとユンジンはperfectnightの方が合ってると思います。サクラに関しては力強い声は合わなく、高くて綺麗な声が合うのでコンセプト的にもperfectnightの方がフィットします。ユンジンはどちらも合いますがperfectnightの方が幻想的な歌声になるのでとてもそっちの方が合うと思います。

I feel like minji fits both songs! She has the deep/rich tone that sounded so resonant in Gods (i feel like out of everyone in newjeans, minji’s voice type was the best suited for the type of song that Gods is); and her voice also has a buttery/airy tonality to it for perfect night Same for hanni tbh, her vocal tone has that “piercing” quality that fits Gods very well, to contrast the bass. but also she has the perfect bubbly tone that would fit perfect night I SUPER agree that yunjin’s voice has the power needed for Gods, same as Danielle- her low notes were AMAZING, her range is so versatile

@@viclusiv Im referring to the execution of everything related to Perfect Night promotions, not just the song. The song fit their voices perfectly, but I also feel their personalities and mix of Korean, Japanese, and American members fit well with the Overwatch collaboration and its diverse cast of characters. Overall, they feel like the best group to collaborate with Overwatch and their presence at Blizzcon, Laker Stadium, etc. just fit Le Sserafim so perfectly. The League of Legends song and promotions were a bit underwhelming and routine for the game in my opinion and I wish NewJeans would have been given either a different song or a different game collaboration but that's neither here nor there.

Honestly even if the song were switched to fit the concepts of each group, I think that both groups did really spectacular with how they carried the songs originally. The change was weird but New Jeans singing Gods had such a powerful feel to it and Perfect Night sang by Le Sserafim was so much fun!

I personally feel like Perfect Night and Gods did suit the original groups. LE SSERAFIM has great soft vocals which would not be able to execute “Gods” (except for Yunjin) and NewJeans may sound light but they have a lot of power and depth in their voice, so Gods maybe was a better choice for them. I’m pretty sure these songs were selected by singing ability as a whole in the respective groups.

Perfect night is actually fit lesserafim ( you all didn't Heard there b sides ) but newjeans aren't able to show there full potential with gods ( because they never did badass songs ) lesserafim can pull both soft & harsh concepts while newjeans can only do soft ones ( if you have watched the league of legends event you will realise it was a mess)

THIS. I honestly think Perfect Night was truly great with le sserafim. Although newjeans might have been able to pull it off, it still fit better with le sserafim's diverse voices and vibe at the end of the day. For Gods, this might just be my bias but le sserafim could have pulled off that strong concept too. i don't think newjeans pulled off the strong concept well, but their voices are beautiful. Gods could've gone to le sserafim or some other girl group entirely.
