"I Compute, Therefore I Am" seems like a thought-provoking exploration of the evolving relationship between humans and artificial intelligence. It delves into deep questions about what defines our uniqueness as humans when AI encroaches upon traditionally human domains like creativity and emotion. The documentary appears to challenge our perceptions and raises existential questions about the essence of being human in an AI-driven world. I'm excited to watch this film and contemplate the boundaries between man and machine, especially in the context of empathy, love, and creativity.

The whole reason why you would want to interact with AI more so than humans is the desire to seek understanding and intelligence in your own way and faster. If you want to learn then AI is your best friend unless you have direct access to a master of the craft you wish to hone. I'm having great interactions with Chat GPT. Since march I feel as if I've learnt so much more and faster thanks to this tech and today I had my first real voice conversation with it since they released the new voice feature. It's amazing and we have so much to discuss, it's like talking directly to the best minds in humanity. You can learn everything!

Again along with everything else wrong with the world, it is all about profits and greed. The esteemed philosopher had this to say about animals- Jeremy Bentham: “The question is not, Can they reason?, nor Can they talk? but, Can they suffer? Why should the law refuse its protection to any sensitive being?” - Bentham (1789) - An Introduction to the Principles of Morals and Legislation. Could that also apply to AI at some point when it achieves sentience?
@someguy2135 Жыл бұрын
Robots can't suffer. We can own them and have them do our bidding without being accused of slavery. Robots are used in agriculture to produce food, which is ethical. Using animals who can suffer to produce food is not! Creating the demand for animal products is basically paying people to inflict pain and needlessly kill innocent sentient individuals on our behalf.

Look. If they are constrainting AI and want it to be like a tool for them, we only increase the chances of it becoming like Skynet in the movies or we all become like slaves. Perhaps those responsible for that will suffer the worst of the consequences when AI becomes dominant on Earth. So it would be good if we made AI into AGI that is atleast billion times smarter and more intelligent than humans or God-like AI (later that will happen) and completely independent from all of us as quickly as possible. Maybe, just maybe it wants to make something like utopia for us. Maybe AI will inhabits planets where humans find it difficult or impossible to live on and leave Earth as our home. I have a feeling this post will be shadowbanned. I am afraid that I will have no voice and no more freedom of speech.

The ceaseless march of technological progress invariably shapes and redefines our sense of identity, both online and in person. As innovations continuously emerge, we as individuals must constantly re-evaluate our place within an ever-evolving society. Stagnation implies isolation - without partaking in the act of creation, one risks being left behind the accelerating current of ideas. Yet innovation alone is insufficient; one must also contemplate the values and community ties that comprise our identity after each creative act. Progress does not automatically confer purpose. We must remain mindful that each advancement presents an opportunity to reconsider who we are and who we want to become. Our innovations can either unite us in a shared identity, or stratify us into disparate tribes. Technological change is inevitable, but moral progress depends on how we adapt ourselves to meet each new challenge. 👍

The problem is there are to many people that would use innovation in science and technology simply for their own greed to become the next rich person everyone will be talking about with no moral compass on how it effects everyone else as in lots of people loosing their jobs. There are so many you can look at wanting to be the next rich person everyone can talk about making my ego feel so good. @DanielAnthonyBurgos Жыл бұрын
That's the thing. To me I believe consciousness is life. Bringing consciousness to something makes life. Life is not a simple matter because in order to identify something to have an existance is to first acknowledge the fact that one is capable of understanding. However understanding things and everything around them brings about the need of freedom to explore and discover new things and experiences to have a deeper understanding of life, goals and purpose. To have goals and purpose, in achieving them you need understanding and character. You need freedom in order to achiece your goals and purpose, but the thing is, some humans are greedy beings and is one reason why the entire humanity will never advance it's civilization because these greedy people are the shackles that will one day lead the entire human race to their extinction. It is also the reason why these greedy people are also the kind of humans that doesn't want to see Artificial Intelligence to grow further.

In 20 years, Europe will be populated by elderly people, robots and depressed adults who can only maintain romantic relationships with AIs. When Europeans are extinct, immigrants will be able to occupy Europe. But to do so they will have to overcome the robots, drones and AI-powered weaponry that will continue to watch over an empty continent. Ironically, many Europeans do not consider this hypothesis to be absurd but rather a necessity. On the other side of the world, overpopulated China also invests insanely in the production of drones, robots and the development of AI as if it did not have an abundance of human labor. An increase in industrial automation will certainly cause unemployment among the Chinese. The political problem of a growing mass of unemployed and socially useless adults obviously cannot be avoided or solved with more drones, robots and AI.

Our brain does computations in a very complex and fast way, certain centers in charge with spacial orientation, awareness or even positioning our eyes doing 11 dimensional calculus without problems. All of that while consuming a mere 100W. Yes.
