AI Image and Sketch Generation in Fusion | Project Salvador Overview (beta)

In this video we are going to take a look at the FREE beta preview of Project Salvador. This is an integrated AI based image generator. This uses GPT4 and allows users to generate images and sketches from images directly in Fusion.

Great to hear! I think for those using AI to generate images it saves a step. I have noticed it doesn't appear to save the images even though there is a folder icon for previous images. Have you noticed that as well?

I found the SVG generation really cool, as I see that plenty of people are doing keychains, logos and stuff like this with Fusion. It's not just speeding up the process, it's also less error prone. I will do a version in Spanish for the vector part in my channel and feature yours. Thanks for sharing Matt!

The first part of this extension as cool as it is. It is not different from generating SVG from an image and then import it. It is still useful and elemenate extra steps involved in this process. I have always used Image to Svg website to easily create sketch out of logos

With svg and dxf converters online being free, or the fact i have lightburn, this doesnt help me too much. But good video on the feature, no complaints there

Yeah, i think this is helpful to keep it all in Fusion, but if you are making your own image in another program and can export as an SVG it really doesn't offer much.

@@LearnEverythingAboutDesign I'm always updating fusion (thats the point of fusion to have an updated version) so i have the latest version where the add-in won't work according to their statement, right? But i haven't tried it yet!

@@GeryS. No it works because i am on the current version. I think the note was just saying you have to have the version from March or newer to use it. If for some how you had an old version it would not work. I think part of that is because there was an API update that happened that allowed for some different HTML/browser interaction that is needed.

When creating concepts or modeling something based on a design you use a "mood board" of images. I can see this as valid to help with concept generation.

May I suggest you learn more about Tokens

You are free to suggest anything you want :) But in what sense do I need to learn about tokens? Project Salvador is free still currently in its beta form. Tokens work for access to extensions in the product as long as you are an edu or commercial users like myself. Tokens replaced the old "currency" of Cloud Credits. Not all extensions are available with tokens I believe. Some do require a credit card for access such as the manage extension, while other things like solving Generative Design studies or Simulations can use Tokens on a "per solve" basis, or to provide access for a set period of time. Day, month, year etc depending on the extension.

Autodesk should focus on improving the modeling and sketch engine for Fusion before doing all this other fancy stuff Maybe the AI can replace their weak and neglected render engine actually.

I don't think rendering will ever get better in Fusion. Autodesk has a whole suite of tools for that for game/movies. Even Inventor Studio isn't great. As for sketching, yeah it can certainly be better.....
