I have been using generative AI, namely stable diffusion to help inspire me with a custom laser cut Catan board I have been creating. In this video I cover some of the ways I use stable diffusion to inspire my physical art, not just using it to create pretty digital AI art. That's so funny, I just started doing this with AI too the other week. I'm glad you're blazing a trail here. I was looking more at combining metallic ink paper prints with acrylic, but laser and wood is super cool and looks very classy. I think I prefer for the depth you're showing off here.

One question, are you using the masking(?) paper and layering technique you showed in the first video to get the 4 layers I'm seeing in your updated brick or is that several layers glued together? If not, could you do several layers with that technique, or did it really only work with two like you showed with the blue and white in the first video?

It is 3 layers all glued. That way I could create some standard shapes use on all pieces to help speed assembly.

The Catan board looks amazing! Do you think you could share the plans for it? If not, maybe show a little more of the process used to make it. Great idea to put the laser on a shelf in the garage.

Did you like the xtool? I've been trying to get one for a while now, but they're just out of what I've been able to afford unfortunately. I'm wondering if I should continue to save for one, or if you have any other suggestions that are at a cheaper price point, without sacrificing on quality. Love the videos, keep up the great work!

I have both, and I use my Ortur LM3 most of the time. It's better in about every way, and it's about the same price (cheaper if you use that $200 of code I listed above).
