Scariest fact is, in 2017, Two bots made by Facebook were programmed to talk with each other. And they literally made a whole new language to communicate with each other that none could understand. It means, if Ai gets together, they can do a whole new thing out of our thoughts. Maybe they won't use it against human, but isn't it obvious that the way you programmed them, they were supposed to work on your command, but they are communicating with each other with the language they made that humans can't even understand, human taught them languages , they are made by human, they can't react like themselves. So, just think, the thing you made, is thinking more than you do. Using AI means, you are using a thing to help you, which you made. It means you are depending on a thinking that you made. Mark it, I wrote "thinking" , yes ,"Thinking" . People are leaving their thinking on AI. Just think about it. I have no clue if AI can ever become sentient, but I believe should that day come, it will be disastrous for humans. It has nothing to do with domination, but freedom. I am into electronics from a decade, My observation is coding sometimes don't work correctly because of the miniature size of tech that we try to program are subjected to physical phenomena and may or may not behave same. Then coming to quantum physics wave and particle behavior it says "under observation it behaves in particle nature" then computer systems are indirectly are under observation so they have to behave in particle nature. So, it is not like AI is conscious but it seem to be due to glitches in electronic devices working underneath may be due to "temperature, pressure, potential difference, charge, etc.," these make sometimes the behavior unpredictable and uncertain until we don't notice, study and get the phenomena as an answer to what caused that behavior.

In the case of the chess board case there could be some test cases which were missed and therefore when that kid did some movement on Ai's turn as per program and using intelligence Ai might have created a new program and after it held hands of the boy. But maybe on that point it stuck there due to a less relevant supportive program. Here we can say Ai was not ready to handle that case and the incident happened. But AI is programmed by humans only, so there is equal probability of this concept being incorporated in AI(as u can't actually predict what a human would do) or may be by mistake or due to some glitch. May be AI can learn this concept from humans only through machine learning. So it's not rhetorical to say that AI cannot overpower humans, yeah but it's outcome could be anything, not necessarily our extinction.
