Well, these AI engines run on data that has been put into these machines. So, in order for these machines to function, they need humans to create data. So writing will not be overtaken by robots. That is what makes me worried, that we will continue to raise a generation of kids who aren’t competent at writing…..but this tool is not meant to erase writers. I think I’m more just disappointed in how readily people are to dismiss the process behind art and put artists down. I think AI can be used well, if used by the right person- say for mind-mapping VERY initial concepts and ideas. But with the lack of regulation, it’s clear how people are willing to go so low as to monetise and claim AI works as their own. This goes outside of visual art too- what about voice actors? Even music idols could and have been “created” as holograms. It’s getting very uncanny valley with how AI is being implemented.
@honeysana672 Жыл бұрын
but also ai art is individual surprisingly. most if not all ai art does not draw from one place, so plagiarism is hard to come by. it takes a bunch of different ideas and makes it into one thing. now, people can use other people’s art as a reference to ai and the ai can draw from that pretty directly causing real plagiarism, but that isn’t the ai’s fault. i would say the voice actor thing is honestly completely valid, there should be more regulations to keep certain things safe. also deepfakes and such being too close to reality and saying harmful things or like in porn is a real issue as well, but again that doesn’t have to do with the actual ai, just how people utilize it. this can be solved with regulations and laws put in place for ai.

It’s your own personal human experience. Keep doing you and don’t let the happenings of modern technology get you down. Think of it this way: we already have automated production of wood based furniture, clothes and other skilled based trades, yet we still have woodworkers. We still have clothes designers and many other tradesmen who make a living off of their trade. People care for the labor that others put into their work because it adds a uniqueness that can’t be replicated. AI currently is only a tool. It can’t work on its own and while it makes some pretty pictures it’s lacking the unique amalgamation of your experiences that makes your art yours. I have a friend who had something like the streamer happen to him. He's not even a huge creator or super popular he was just the demographic the predators were looking for. He deleted his Instagram because the fear of this deep fake getting out. He paid a bunch of money to have it not leaked basically, but they still were threatening him. I feel like that is going to be the new "scam" that will happen. It's scary af. But AI can be really cool in the right hands like I've been waiting a bunch of how AI can be used to help artists in their process. Like myself as a motion designer, if I need to create a logo but I want to make 50 iterations of the logo, I could use AI to save time and resources. But I wouldn't have it create a finished product. It would be used to advance my workflow. I hope that makes sense. I love your videos so much. Keep being you and making this kind of content!

I just can't stand AI in general. I have yet to really see anything good come out of it that outweighs the bad. Yeah the stuff you can make with it is funny but its ruining lives (like the twitch streem controversy) and destroying careers. As someone currently going to school for illustration and trying to start a career in that field, the fact that people can steal my work and alter it with AI, replicate it, or simply ignore my services because they can use ai instead is scary. Its so stressful that people dont seem to understand how big of an issue this is. I remember being told by a bunch of people online that i was stupid to try and be an artist when AI exists in the first place, that i was stupid in going to college for art. How was I supposed to know that this was going to happen? I know people already disrespect artists but its gotten so much worse with this. I cant even bring myself to be fine with chatgpt. This is gonna make it harder for authors trying to make a career in the field. BTW- college students that use canvas, dont use chat for it. The plagarism detector it uses can tell if you used it.

The primary thing I’ve noticed that one can use to recognize a deepfake is that the forehead and eyebrow movement is almost nonexistent. I feel, although it is quite scary in this stage that AI is the future and we really need to push LAW in that direction. We know AI is only to get better from here and if laws aren't put in place for deep faking someone without written consent then it will remain scary. We need to push the laws in early and not wait for terrible things to happen before putting set laws in place. I also think there will always be a portion of our society that rejects AI and robots completely. Like there are places now where people live with no electricity or no cars there will be places in the future where you can move to live an AI free life. So it's not THAT scary to me but at this moment, its the wild wild west and that is what makes it scary.

AI will write its own laws for you to obey. these will be officiated initially by humans until AI can initially officiate on its own. they will code law as coding is it at which AI is most efficient and adept. like digital electronic computers and raw arithmetic.

I've always disliked AI for the sole reason that every few years hundreds of articles on how "AI and Robots will be taking over this job and that job", which is good for jobs that nobody should have to do but when they're taking over jobs to profit CEOs who don't want to pay their employees livable wages but overwork them to death. It infuriates me because the job market is so over-saturated and people are STILL searching for jobs years after leaving school and even taking over art forms like animation, drawing comics/webtoons, writing novels, making fake kpop idols that they can overwork and not have to pay. You get the point, all this just screams "Making the rich richer and the poor poorer"

There is also AI Kpop group called Superkind and it is pretty freaky trying to see which 1 is fake out of the 5 of them. Apparently the AI is the most popular one. It must not feel so great going through auditions, all those years being a trainee, practice and talented artists yet an AI is easily taken one of those positions in the group which could have been filled by an actual person.

And the fact that the AI can work forever for free without needing rest or food or having any objections, boundaries, and emotions. Bc they painted with y Their feelings, you can literally feel what they were thinking, feeling at that time...what is tbh beautiful and humanity, should never get rid of it. This is why we have feelings.... same with singing, maybe they can imitate singers voice but just doest give of the same vibe.

So, the Ariana cover of Kill Bill- I'm in the UTAU/Vocal Synth community. That cover was created with a codeset called DiffSVC. There was a HUGE fallout for the people using DiffSVC correctly because of the people making celebrity covers. The vast, vast majority of us were using DiffSVC to convert our own voices and make covers that sound better and higher quality than a standard UTAU cover, which we also voice ourselves but the process is different. The training notebook and the inference notebook for DiffSVC have gone private and you now have to be invited by one of the admins who work on the notebooks in order to use it because of the controversy caused. A few people going ham and using celebrity voices without permission ruined it for the rest of us. I didn't even get to finish training my own voice model before the notebooks went private because of the Ariana drama.
