See the problem isn't web developers but web devs with no knowledge of prompt engeering and ai tools is. As a genAI engineering intern at a startup I create AI agents that do people's most work and automate their daily tasks and my team is all of interns that have slight or no professional experience in web dev. They create websites that are fckin beautiful, responsive and complete backend with using their 30% skills and 70% AI tools(these extensions and tools costs us around $70-80) and we do things that required a whole workforce. Even I have automated some of my day to day tasks with crewai and zapier. So all I wants to say to learn AI, learn LLMs and generative AI. Not from scratch just learn some fancy frameworks and apply them in real life. It'll definitely upto 50% boost your resume or maybe your life as well.

It is unsure that AI will replace everyone.. Even if it does, there's no use.. Considering the population, every one should get money to spend and that's how economy works.. Even if they surpass all the human requirements, it lacks logical thinking.. Nobody wud dare to get operated by an artificial assistant who just follow the instructions but no basic empathy that what a patient is thinking.. AI can't replace but definitely reduce the number of developers required. not all can become expert developers. Only 20 percent at the top will be really good. The above average and average developers will either have to lose jobs or settle with low pay while working on multiple skills if they have keep their jobs.

Only basic level will be replaced in markeet onsite jobs but a developer who knows backend and front end never lose his job. a html css js bootstrap already rduced just keep in mind AI can't make a web application that contains thousands of front end backend code only html css js bootstrap . A developer who expert in html css js react/vue mern mean stack will never lose his job. As a tech founder, I want to advise poeple to go into AI field if your are choosing data science. What scares me as harry said improvements, how fast AI is revolving. Few days ago one vidoe was viral about actor Will Smith eating noodles in 2023 and now in 2024. You can clearly see diffrence between those vidoe how fast AI can learn. So as currenlty DevinAI is just a starting, but yes till 5 year down the line till you mastered or graduate, AI will definelty replace so many Software engineer jobs. So once’s who has just entered collage,and as in first and second year should choose AI. And the once who are in final year, make projects and practice, AI will not replace 4 to 5 years or more senior positions hopefully.
