Im not sure about a zelda movie, but Id love a similar plot for a zelda RPG style game where link is a DPS, a goron is youre tank, you have a zora for support and a twili for a magic damage user. Probably more characters for different archetypes like stat buff mage, archer, stuff like that. Im genuinely baffled we never have gotten a zelda RPG style game before, it seems like the perfect fit and would finally allow us to play as other races in a non hyrule warriors game (i guess majoras technically counts but id prefer unique characters as opposed to just link with a mask).

I think they could have a movie following botw literally word by word, quest by quest, scene by scene, with just a couple changes. But in the movie, instead of link getting distracted by all of the koroks and side quests, those missions can be turned into 4 minute animated shorts for Disney+ or something 😂

I do wonder. It could be like a show where each major story segment is split up into different episodes/parts and then side quests and other random stuff can me miscellaneous shorts or even episodes. Short formats could be goofy stuff like Flowerblight Ganon or Link catching his first Horse or some other side quests and side quest short-episode stuff could be things like riding to Eventide Island or visiting places like the Faron region or Lurelin Village, maybe even cooler things like saving Naydra. The Major Story Segment things could be hour-long episodes. Stuff like Link completing and combing all of the Great Plateau, Link then making his way to Kakariko and fighting enemies and learning stuff like cooking and how to aim his bow after 100 years of literal power napping. It will not only be about Link completing his quests, but also about the stuff he might find along the way too at times. Stuff that would make the episode too long could go in shorts/22-minute episode sections. If it had this format, it would not only highlight the admittedly short story that Breath of the Wild tells, but it also highlights the experiences and moments that made BOTW fun to make up for the lack of story focus. While the main story itself does tell a lot, the only way you’d actually learn about the secrets of Hyrule is by exploring. No one would know about Lurelin village or Naydra or Link’s house (and thus Terry Town) or even Robbie’s tech lab in Akkala if all they did was just run directly to the Divine Beasts with no interruption/distraction. This way audiences can explore the land of Hyrule just as the player does while people who have already played the game or even those who have combed it entirely can try and spot out fun references.

Not lore accurate, doesn’t follow the Demise’s curse, not master sword, ruto and darunia would be dead before Ordon or midna were things, and the ruto never had a bow. Not to mention after the triforce was put together it would split again, also forgetting dungeons.

1. I'm not sure if demise's curse makes them born at the same time. 2. There are some games where the master-sword isn't needed to kill ganon. 3. In botw they have a bow, so it isn't unlikely that they had bows for a long time. 4. The triforce pieces would probably be in dungeons.

I honestly like the idea of Zelda being an old woman and there being no hint of them having a relationship whatsoever. This has been done over and over again. Can't Link save Hyrule WITHOUT the damsel in distress and potential love interest. Also, we could have Malon to fulfill the latter roll, maybe hints at it earlier on, but it only comes to fruition after Link saves the day. Malon could also play a roll earlier on when Link gets Epona, like in the games.
