Constant change is our lives, yet we are ill prepared to accept or cope with it. Throughout history you see people being manipulated through fear of what might be, what could be rather than what will be. The main media outlets have lost their way, more concerned with selling ad space than informing their audience. Stirring up fear of any new change is the go to position. How we explain the complexity of the new revolution AI will bring is concerning given its current portrayals as the new big threat. What history teaches us I think is that humans are the ultimate in adaptability, (a bold statement I know) based on being the only creature on this planet in billions of years to actually leave the said planet and survive that journey. We will adapt to the AI changes and move forward in ways we currently can't conceive. The job market will continue to change, the way we communicate and use tools will continue to develop. It is possible to step out of the technological race but have no doubt doing so you will be left behind. That may not be a bad thing, after all I understand that the Amish live happy and fulfilling lives.
