What is up everyone! We're back with more EmergeNYC gameplay and today I will be going over the various AI functions in game and how to get the equipment to drive from the station to the fire scene on their own! Hey Spur , amazing video , I liked how you broke everything down into details . Idk how firefighters did there job years ago, but these days building construction and automobile manufacturers try to make everything people,animal , and o-zone friendly . However they don’t make anything easy for the first responders . Pulling down ceilings, braking windows , and everything is awesome , being the first firefighter on the hose and feeling the adrenaline pass through your body as the smoke thickens , and all of a sudden flames roll over your head , there’s nothing more awesome then that . The worst feeling is seeing people’s property and lives ruined in a instant.

Man, that sounds so awesome. I'm sure it is a huge adrenaline rush. I'm the same way about the loss. Watched a house on our street burn completely down to the foundation in no time. Wood frame home built around 1900 and it went up incredibly fast. Everyone was ok but the one thing that struck me was it had a particular smell that just lingered in the area for days.

From Raf @everyone release of update 0.9.4 is imminent within the next few days. May 1st is the absolute latest. This update is mainly a performance, graphics and gameplay UI and mechanics improvement update. The last 2 weeks I’ve spent religiously optimizing every aspect of the game even redoing the hoses and other mechanics that cost precious frames. In multiplayer we were averaging 60-70 fps with fire and hoses with 2-3 people and 30-50 with 6 people. In single player frames average between 40-100 fps even with hoses, lots of fire and trucks on scene. I’ll be posting a comparison video on Sunday night demoing performance and graphics in the old build vs in the upcoming update. Today testing opened up to our closed testers and they’re working hard on reporting the bugs and any stutters or frame drops that they experience so that I can fix them before the public release of the update. The change log is lengthy and I’ve been working on putting it together for the release announcement. I’ll be going over more of what to expect in the update, what I worked on and what I still have left to do. This is the update that so many of you have been waiting for that will significantly improve the experience while playing. I have been shocked by how well it has been running. I’m still keen to see with testers on lower end systems if crashes while loading maps due to running out of memory is still an issue or if that has been fixed. Also interested to see how they run the new update given that frame rate has double, and sometimes tripled (I’ve even gotten 120-240 fps in Brooklyn and Manhattan which now run beautifully in Multiplayer even with 6 players which we tested for the first time today and the results were promising. I still have a lengthy list of bugs and optimizations I still am going to complete before the public release to ensure that it’s in a enjoyable and playable state. LC has also finally downloaded the updated project and is in the process of updating the current project with all of the sound improvements, new horns and sirens and new units that he has been working on the last few months since before the AI update preview. The game is going to be moving forward very quickly in terms of performance improvements and bug fixes in the next few days and weeks and I am super relieved to finally have addressed most of the performance issues in the game as well as a lot of the issues within the editor. Stay tuned to my KZbin channel and the discord on Sunday for the comparison video and I’ll do a deep dive into all the changes and fixes you guys can look forward to in the update coming. So far testing has been very good results and we’re in the home stretch of the release. I’m super excited for you guys to finally try out the new and improved EmergeNYC!

Another thing is with the recent change with the game, Auto respond will open the station gates automatically. Not sure if you have recently played the game since 2 years ago.

there is a fire station near my school they have a ladder it is a massive rig to turn and has a loud horn

Some of those ladders are a beast. Especially seeing the tower ladders in NYC traffic.

I recently bought the game off steam and can not get my ai firefighters to load in. The apparatus will but the crew wont. I was wondering if anyone knows of a fix

No that will be in another update which has yet to be released. Next update will include the game engine update with performance and sound improvements. Next update after that looks like it will have the fire crew AI. That seems to be still a ways out.

It varies. Definitely Mondays. Sometimes it may be also Fri, sometimes Sat or some other day but always 100% on Mondays.
