@@brynbrew There's a connection between genius and crazy. Every great genius in our society has been seen as crazy. Look at Albert Einstein, Leonardo DaVinci, Isaac Newton or Nikola Tesla. Every one of them was seen as batshit crazy by their contemporaries. Being a genius requires the ability to challenge existing paradigms. When someone has this ability, why would it be limited to things like science and technology only ? Of course someone who has this gift will question social norms and cultural rules or taboos as much as they question scientific "truths" or established technological paradigms. Being genius is about exploration. It's about ignoring old rules and paradigms in the process of creating new, better ones. You cannot be a genius without being seen as rebel, crazy or blasphemer (Looking at you Galileo Galilei)

And clearly he showed he would do anything to avoid going to prison, being he lived on the run for how long. And we all know how much he valued freedom, and its not out of the realm of possibility, that he didnt want the US to win this game of cat and mouse with him. And once he found out he was being turned over to them, he said fuck it im gonna decide my fate not them. The other possibility is the spanish govt helped him fake his death. The thing that puts credence into that for me, is his wife was "crying" without tears during her interview shortly after his "death". I realize this is an old video and things have changed a bit. But, I just wanted to comment on his idea of the Blockchain ending deceit. I think Deceit is such a part of human nature the first thing people will do is find ways around the system in order to deceive or just reject the system completely. Look at the opposition present in Smartphones that are constantly monitoring people. People want certain things to be kept private and not everything can be in the open or they reject it. So, there will never be complete transparency and I am someone that doesn't really like the idea of complete transparency. I have had bosses that are far to demanding and I would never accept a situation where they monitored be 24/7. I accept that they want to monitor me from the moment I clock in and clock out ( may not like it. but I accept it). But Will not let them monitor me 24/7 willingly.
