There will never be another Ustad Salamat Ali Khan -- what a guy, what a maestro! Nobody should dare to sing along when he is singing -- except his late brother Nazakat Ali Khan, who made a great singing partner. The two of them were legendary. As for the descendants, well, what can I say.....it has all been said here already.

@kjaan Kyaa baat hai! I feel that this piece is very pleasing to the ear. Ustad Salamat Ali Khan Saheb's style of singing is very intense and aggressive, but it is an acquired taste. It is an art to improvise to such extremes and still maintain the Raag, laya etc. An art that Ustadji has mastered. I love this singing and it is very beautiful, at least in my humble opinion. Ustad Shafqat Ali Khan and Ustad Salamat Ali Khan are just having some fun singing together. Thats all.

ustad salamat ali khan was the only artist that for whom the greatest living singer of our generation lataji offered to marry and Ustad Salamat Ali Khan was afraid that a Hindu Muslim war might break out if he marries lataji a high cast brahmin and he loved her till his last breath. She used to stop all her activities when they visited Bombay. His talent has not been recognized in Pakistan. Both Salamat and Amanat Ali Khan were two grates of their time. Shafqat always goes overboard and he had no business playing w him a legend and there was no room for his theatrics...
