The ending of this musical is so powerful & amazing. There are lots of tragic stories where the two lovers die, and there's some vague idea that "their love will last forever" or "they will meet again in the afterlife". This is a very unique take on it, and I just love how they portray it in the musical. Wonderful performance, I just watched the whole thing! Thanks for posting it on youtube :)

Oh my gosh, this is such a sad ending...I cried three times...that was amazing! Our school is doing this musical next, and I don't think I'll make any major parts because I'm a Freshman this year, (nor do I feel very confident about a solo,) but I absolutely love the music, I now know I'd be very happy just even being a dancer in this musical.

Amernis is totally the character that this play revolves around. Sure Aida is the name of the play, but Amernis gets the most character developement and at the end of the day she has to deal with the consequences. This actress is amazing.

@MrsDaee666 I know. How great was it that they included the afterlife version of Mereb in the ending. I've seen a few stage productions (on KZbin) of this musical and this is the first one where they did that. It's also the first one I've seen where the three main performers (Amneris, Radames and Aida) were both fabulous singers AND actors. And Radames... H.O.T.!!
