All I'm seeing so far in OTA's is Aidan O'Connell throwing darts left and right, #12 is the best qb in the room and it's not even close. He will start week 1
@sparky10194 ай бұрын
I 100% disagree. This is a practice that a ten year old could do. How do you see all of that? And it’s a drill. Who knows if he will improve his mobility in games at all. He almost overthrew a few of those. The way he throws make them look more like “darts” than I think they actually are. He did nothing Minshew didn’t do. I thought Minshews were better and a little more like darts. They were not so much lift that can get intercepted.
@dy0rama4 ай бұрын
@sparky1019 I'm just commenting on what I've seen in the video. AOC looks better than the other 3 qb's in my opinion. But hey, maybe a ten year old knows better than the both of us lol
@sparky10194 ай бұрын
@@dy0rama maybe lol. I just meant they were simple drills that (in my opinion) AOC didn’t stand out at all in. I think Minshew looked cleaner and threw better. I think we are going to have a great season no matter who starts. I personally think Minshew will take us farther. I think Aiden is a nice kid and works hard but he is not a leader. Maybe a Raider but not a Raider leader.

Aidan is clearly the starting QB just from a physical perspective. I do think it is possible Minshew will come into the game like Mariota did a few years ago. However that's the physical assessment, the reading defenses and knowing the playbook thing will likely be resolved later. Raiders had one of the worst offenses last year, I could even envision Minshew and O'Connell on the field at the same time, if nothing else to get the team to burn a TO. Raiders have a long way to go. No one was rushing these QB's. No defenses were being disguised. No OL has gelled. No offensive team is a machine in general. Measured expectations.
@edwinramos49104 ай бұрын
AOC is obviously the best "passer". He's accurate, smooth, and has a quick and very smooth release. But, the throwing while moving aspect of it still looks a bit like a work in progress. Minshew on the other hand looks good anytime he's on the move...smooth, quick, and comfotable. But, he's not as accurate as AOC, and that halfway sidearm release is a bit quirky.

I disagree. . I think Aiden overthrows a lot. A few times on this clip even. Ive been watching a lot of past film on Minshew and the more I see the more I like. He was never hired as qb1 either i think that would make a difference. Plus every single team he has worked with says he is a motivator and a leader. He also gets literally no support from anyone. There is no news or mention of him at all. It’s all about O’Connell. I think they should all be supported and cheered on by coaching staff. Everyone is so far up O’Connell’s ass for some reason. He is nice and works hard. Doesn’t make him a leader though

@sparky1019 Idk, too me he seemed slow and jumpy. Also, the fact that almost all of his throws were quite wobbly shows that his throwing motion and release isn't very fluid or great. It's also kind of concerning because this is a simple practice drill with little pressure, so that ball should come out like butter. Could be wrong of course, but that's just what I see.

@@sparky1019 yeah Minshew should be the starter. He's more accurate, creates out of broken plays, and doesn't fold under pressure. He's never been given a proper shot. I'm afraid it's about to happen again. Those throws on the run are a lot easier without a DE chasing you. Minshew has proven he can make those throws in a game, AOC has not.
