Love this interview. I felt like slapping Poldark over the back of the head a few times regarding his dubious, ego-driven decision-making. It's funny to hear Aidan say a similar thing. Such a wonderful actor and down to earth guy. It's kind of unfair to the rest of the male population that one man can be so good looking, have intelligence, a lovely friendly personality, a kind character ... AND an Irish accent! 😂

I started watching Poldark. Just finished watching it. Aiden Turner brought Poldark to life. I was sad when the series was over. I wanted more of Poldark.

I'm on season 3 now. First time viewing it. I agree, he carries it. Especially in the first 5 episodes of season 1. He captures the audience. After that it develops into a great family dynasty story, with great story lines and characters, but Ross continues to be a pivotal figure. Initially he's idealised because of his strong moral sense and honour resulting in his decisions to do the right thing. Like marrying Dimelza, help the village people etc., but he is brought down a good few notches when he cheats on Dimelza. And yet the way it's handled in the writing there is something redeeming about it. He becomes less of an ideal in the viewers' eyes and more human. I thought when he explained to Dimelza that he had idealised Elizabeth, but that after they had been together he realised the reality of life and love were not the same and that his love for Dimelza was on a totally different level. Must say I was very disappointed when he cheated on Dimelza, and couldn't for the life of me figure out why the writers did that to this honourable protagonist, but they pulled it off in the end.

I also loved this interview, love the Irish accent (my grandma came from Ireland and I am from England). Aidan is Ross Poldark the way he tells about the books and making the character his own. This series has to go on through all the 12 books which I am reading, having the first three new books, can't find the other nine yet.

I ordered the series on dvd in 2024 happy I can watch over and over again. I wish they had done more seasons. I love it when he called hisself drama Queen. I ordered the Poldark audios and it is just like the series.

He is extremely intelligent. He takes one question and answer it involving every perspective there is to a simple question. He is very confident in himself. He goes from Aidan, to Ross without getting exhausted, really high energy..so innocent and honest at the same time. He speaks about his insecurities while playing his role but yet comes out so strong. Extraordinary young man. Would like to see him in a James Bond movie. Goodness, does he ever tire from talking.. I could listen to him all night long but this wouldn't be fair to him looking at him explain 10 different angles from Ross point of view while answering for Aidan also. Very impressive actor. He makes it difficult for anyone to critique him, Bravo.

La serie poldark è magica aidan è stato ed è magico ,insuperabile, unico .,ma tutti gli attori sono stati meravigliosi grandi artisti e che dire dei registi ,sceneggiatori ,costumisti musiche paesaggi le varie storie intorno a quella di ross e demelza sono stupende, prudy e judd i domestici di ross sono indimenticabili tutto l' insieme di poldark è un capolavoro che non si dimenticherà. Vorrei abbracciare tutti gli attori per le emozioni che hanno donato anche il cavallo di ross e il cane garrich di demelza e il corvo di tom mai dimenticherò valentine che saluta ross da sotto il tavolo la simpatia di agata e la cattiveria allo stato puro incarnata da george magnificamente ;grande attore jack tutti ma veramente tutti saranno per sempre nel mio cuore ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
