My first car was a 1978 Mark 1 Rabbit. Great car, but prone to rust. It was the funnest car I ever owned, super light and quick for its time!

I had this same year, same color, back in ‘87. Paid $600 bucks for it. I beat the crap out out of it for 3 years and did all the work on it myself. It was a rust bucket with holes in the wheel wells. It’s nice to see a survivor. Brings back memories.

I love this model. I have a brazilian Passat LS 1978 here in Rio/BR and the front of the Rabbit remember a lot my car. The wheels are similar. Very cool this MK1. Congrats for your work.
