The moment as he was suffering from mononucleosis is so memorable. Glad he didn't give up because His journey hadn't been over yet. Finally he finished as the winner of the last american idol 2016. Well, i think he is the most humble person. i believe that mississippians are generally polite

He's like a little birdie finally being able to spread his wings. Idol gave him the opportunity take flight and soar through the sky. Beautiful. Such a rightful winner.

How did I miss this before? This is a great recap of Trent's performances. It misses the last few before his win, but still a great recap. Trent is such a special performer and musician and I am so looking forward to what he brings to the music world in the future. And he is such a nice fellow, too. You can see that in any of interaction with others on the show, in interviews, and his many appearances on Periscope. He really makes himself accessible to his fans in that way. That may not last, but you can see the down to earth person that he is. It will be fun to see where his career goes now.

Love this, thanks so very much for sharing this with us all - what a superb, awesome great voice he has. Was not only a great recap on all his songs, but also just loved the beginning of it - were the cows don't buy albums. Trent is so down to earth & seems a very easy going individual - you could see that throughout the show. All the very best wishes to Trent and hopefully he makes it really big out there - do not see why he should not do so as he worked really hard on American Idol so am sure that he will continue to do so now.

I'm really glad this was assembled. There was a lot of hate and racism and other bigotry expressed by LaPorsha's fans elsewhere because she didn't win. This, however, draws attention to the contrast between them that made all the difference: As the competition progressed, Trent absorbed every critique, constantly improved, and covered a variety of genres; whereas LaPorsha performed constantly throughout as a diva. That's not an insult to LaPorsha, mind you -- she was fantastic -- she didn't show the room for growth that Trent did. So, it really is not fair to say that the decision was made based on sex or race any of that, it really was a fair talent competition.
@matthewbasden22408 жыл бұрын
+T.J. Neal Everyone forgets that it comes down to votes. JLO said it best after La'Porsha did "Hello" ... she FINALLY stretched her range. JLO said La'Porsha stayed within the box of her range and obviously did amazing things with it. However, Trent stretched his range week after week, and just played so much or took so many risks vocally. I loved La'Porsha and I would have been just as happy if she won, however, Trent just has more versatility, for a lack of a better term.
@WatchingYou5058 жыл бұрын
+Matthew Basden, if you can believe it, there was even criticism of that; someone complained that it was more about popularity than talent...a lot of sore losers out there, sadly.
@matthewbasden22408 жыл бұрын
+T.J. Neal yeah. It's sad, because they're both amazingly talented and both deserved so much to win.
@bellagirl48788 жыл бұрын
+T.J. Neal I agree with you...Trent's voice and range is top notch, and every single song he sang was Trentanized so to speak...he made them his own. La Portia was good, but to me, she sounds more commercial and that appeals to everyone. She sounds like all the other good female singers out there. Trent, however has a very distinct, unique voice and I think he has the best male voice in American Idol history. Adam Lambert was another standout. But there's just sonething down to earth, genuine and humble about Trent that shows up in his voice as well. Can't wait for his first "country soul" album to come out.

I'm super glad Trent won. La Porche sounds like all the other female R&B singers out there but Trent sounds like Trent.
