As a Canadian gentile, can I say that Canada needs its Jews! Next to our First Nations and the French, our Jewish community is one of the longest continuous communities in our history. Despite its relative small size as a percentage of the population, it has contributed greatly our country's success and prosperity. The Jews in Canada are respected and cherished members of our society. That is why I and other concerns Canadians have been calling and writing to our MPs and MLAs, government ministers and police chiefs demanding more action to protect our Jewish neighbors.
