If we believe in his own words that a Mujtahid is one within 100 years not before not late and his own proclamation that the last such Mujtahid was Dr Alama Mohammad Iqbal, who paseed away in 1938 so No New Mujtahid can bee pronounced Before 2038 at the least) so, how can some one term him (as the compare started his introduction that The Mujtahid of our time us among us), and I am surprised that the professor Did Not object to such a label for himself 🤔

@@QariZulfiqar, Mujtahid or Mujaddad, What ever was said right in front of him while introducing him, it was just glorification act by the announcer and it was (in my humble opinion), upon the professor to deny such glorification specially when it was contradicting his very own statement about the appearing of such time based prolific personality among muslims🤔

@@mhmalik5300 Calling him a Mujtahid is not glorification, its a fact. Professor had called Iqbal Mujaddad not Mujtahid. Hope that helps clarify.

@@QariZulfiqar, thank you sir, it's immaterial what ever he called him, it's a glorification cos professor himself has said many times in his lectures and decried of Muslims so called Aalims putting few lines of adjactives labels before their names " shaikul hind wa Arab, khateeb ul ummah, qutbal atbaq, hazrt ahla shikhul hadees, maulana Ali kuli Khan", while appreciating the western intellects by just saying Einstein, or Simple Burten Russell's, so if some one glorified him in front of his very own presence, at least I expected him to say " ease do not call me A Mujtahid or Mujaddad, I zm happy to be just called Professor Ahmed Rafique Akhtar", hope it helps you to understand my original view point.

@@mhmalik5300 I am sure the announcer only expressed his love for his teacher without meaning a lot else. In any case its a pointless discussion. Lets both enjoy the lecture :)
