He is not only the greatest writer of Pakistan but in my opinion one of the greatest writers in the world. His writing, thinking, philosophy and unique creativity can't match to any writer in Pakistan. He is unparalleled, but the irony is that he is from a country whose writers,writing, books and dramas have not much exposure in the west. I think it is the lack of inspiration and dedication of our literary circles and societies here. His dramas are so unique that when I watch old rerun series of twilight zone and Sherlock Holmes, I see a glimpse of Ashfaq Ahmed,s creativity.there. in there they are so unique that can't really where and how it started and can't pridict what will be next. I see the same unique idea in Ashfaq Ahmed,s dramas. Always some kind of message from every day,s life. Even end of the dramas first you have to pinch yourself to understand the end. If He was from west he could win a noble prize in literature. There are so many other good writers in Pakistan but nobody can reach that level

Despite the fact, they fail miserably, unlike Ashfaq sb, spreading the light of this profession. This is the reason generation of this era is still in the mental darkness and they behave, talk and act blindly every often! Nevertheless, diamonds are found in the darkest mines, some great souls are still with us spreading true knowledge and its light. Young generation should avail of the presence of those diamonds before they get vanished!
