Aikido - Miyamoto Tsuruzo Shihan - Shomen-uchi Ikkyo

known him since 1994. lived in japan in 90s & 00s and studied from him at Hombu dojo, he came to my dojo in Beijing and now living in Japan again and studying with sensei. Just did his class tonight. Sensei teaches principles adaptable to whatever "shomen uchi" (or other attack) someone delivers. That is what is being shown here. It can be less formulaic than some may be accustomed to in their training.

Ikkyo doesn't work in this way. You must to do a shomen against a shomen for up the hand of uke more higher.
