Goldie will be remembered as an artist of a generation. Both painting and music. A living genius...

This song takes me back to Friday 24th July 1998, when I was in Zurich Switzerland. This came on just after they played "Tag am Meer" by the Fantastische Vier. Great song! I recorded all 16 minutes of it while having supper.

There is something about Goldie's music that just seems to capture everything beautiful about the universe and its working intricacies from the most grandscale, right down to a sub-atomic level. It transcends intelligence and feels almost of some sort of divine omniscience.

Takes me back. Just that time of the year (March maybe) when you get that first sort of warm day and you're filled with a rush of enthusiasm for the summer. Wolverhampton 99. Love it.

All that need is a dose of drumfunk. All producers that are going to the next level, keeping the feeling, the primal sense, keeping the improvisation, versatility, using the amen break on another level, the kindred, the atmosphere and feeling we expected, as the natural evolution of Jungle, that we get with Bukem, Goldie ... Now, we hav: Paradox / Alaska, Equinox, Nebula, Dgohn, Macc, Earl Grey, Martsman, Polska ... to name a few

Goldie was inspired by playing about round some meadow as a kid in the summer being happy then something awful happened, When it gets dark, he's unhappy. Fucking genius. Pure expression,

I think that this album marks a certain spiritual alignment or shift if you will, that occured about 15 years ago, and signified the change-over from one dominating group karma to another... I speak of course of the world-wide phenomenon we come to know of as STARBUCKS.

His first effort, Timeless, is wayyyyyy better... Also, you should try and listen to 4hero, D*Note and Roni Size, from the same era. This is my dream team of DnB.
