Didn’t pause this video (just felt wrong as I was really just enjoying and taking everything in) so unfortunately my video kept getting blocked 😅 I had to dim the video a little so it’s a little darker to be able to post! Sorry about that, but I hope you all enjoy it! I’ll pause in the future or is you all don’t mind have overlays for more DM reactions ♥️

@@richardlionheart6701 ...OMG!! I can't believe Fletch passed!!?? I just looked it up hoping you were wrong, it's been almost a year! How the hell did I miss that? I am soooo sad. IMO he was the glue that often held them together, filling different roles when and where needed, that and his struggles with anxiety and depression over the years, is why I identified with him more than the other members, hell probably more than any other musician I looked up to in the 80s and 90s. Such a loss, my heart goes out to his family and friends.

Quite a few rock and metal bands has been influenced by Depeche mode. Rammstein are great fans and has covered a few of their songs. Though I consider myself a rocker/metalhead, I'm a sucker for well composed pop-music, and not the easily chewed and spit out stuff..

As an introvert this song is one of my favorites, the lyrics are so relevant to me, "words, like violence, break the silence, come crashing in, into my little world. Painful to me, pierce right through me, can't you understand, oh my little girl." We introverts spend a lot of time in our own little worlds inside our heads and when someone starts talking to us, sometimes words are like violence. Also, Depeche Mode are a legendary group, with many iconic songs. Depeche Mode headlined the electronic movement of the '80s, then became superstars in the '90s with their mix of synths and guitars. So many fantastic songs. They are still going strong, playing to over three million people on their latest world tour.

Oh Aileen! You make me so happy. DM is the soundtrack of my life. I'm a fan since 1989. 1993 I went to the first concert...and I was blown away. I daught by myself "unfortunately, if I will ever have a child, this will never see them live in concert!" What can I say? It's 2023, my son is 23 y.o. and we will go to DM next month...again! We saw them together 4 times since 2013. They still fill stadiums in minutes. One of them is missing very much. R.i.p. "Fletch". Thank you Aileen. I do like DM, saw them first in the early nineties and I agree that they are a great live band. However, it always strikes me silly when fans claim that one specific band is unequaled in their music, stage presence or whatever else. It´s just simply not true because you probably never even listened to some of the really great artists let alone saw them live.

Over the Decades I've been to so many concerts from Depeche Mode. First one was in 1983 when they were playing in front of just a few hundred people. Since then It has become like an religious experience. The energie given back and fourth. The are these moments like this show you just reacted to or the show in Paris where they created some moments to by celebrating "Never let me down again" or "Freelove". Both very worthy of a reaction of yours. I just loved this one today. Keep it up!

Love Depeche mode, I can remember going to see them many years ago when they first started out. Another band that will definitely get you dancing in your chair are the Swedish classically trained trio DIRTY LOOPS, They are JONAH NILSSON singer/ keyboard player with a great funky Michael Jackson/ Stevie wonder style voice, HENRIK LINDER, one of today's great bass players, and on drums the very underrated AARON MELLERGARD.I call their music "HAPPY FEEL GOOD MUSIC" 😊I first came across singer JONAH NILSSON in a collaboration video with my favourite guitarist STEVE VAI in a video called JONAH NILSSON-DIAMOND RING, a cameo guitar solo from Steve and also a cameo appearance from dirty loops manager and mentor the old legend QUINCY JONES, Quincy doing some unusual move's at the end of the video.(If anyone out there is not familiar with STEVE VAI steve was vote one of the top 10 guitar player's of all time, a great video to see steve in action at his usual greatness STEVE VAI INCREDIBLE GUITAR PERFORMANCE HD video. From the crossroads guitar festival.). DIRTY LOOPS do an UNBELIEVABLE version of Michael Jackson's THRILLER a collaboration with guitar player CORY WONG and his musicians, dirty loops recorded their part in Stockholm Sweden and Cory wong and his great horn section recorded their part in Minneapolis. once you've watched one dirty loops video you've will have to watch another and another. Another 2 great tunes from the Cory wong sessions are FOLLOW THE LIGHT ,and the unbelievable instrumental' TURBO' , GUARANTEED to get you up dancing, Can't wait to see your smile reacting to these amazing musicians. Then you've got to watch DIRTY LOOPS incredible studio video's starting with one of dirty loops fans favorite songs with a great title WORK SHIT OUT, great bass and drums from HENRIK LINDER and AARON MELLERGARD. Also have a look at the funny credits at the end of this song. Then have a look at WORLD ON FIRE, ROCK YOU, HIT ME, then the 8 minute long classic NEXT TO YOU, Jonah Nilsson's vocals with a hint of gospel will take you all the way to church and back, drummer Aaron Mellergard singing harmonies in the video A beautiful ballad you might have a few tears is the beautiful BREAKDOWN great vocals again from jonah Nilsson. Another 3 instrumentals with strange titles are SONGS FOR LOVERS COFFEE BREAK IS OVER, SONGS FOR LOVERS BITTEN BY THE KITTEN, and SONGS FOR LOVERS OLD ARMANDO HAD A FARM, again funny credits at the end of old Armando had a farm with pigs, sheep cows ect. remember all the songs the studio video's not live ones, and to finish off Jonah Nilsson sang Michael Jackson's BILLY JEAN for his mentor QUINCY JONES in PARIS, Quincy sitting at the side of the stage welcoming the musicians to the stage . Two bass players from way back in the Michael Jackson days RICHARD BONA and MARCUS MILLER. A few suggestions to start your dirty loops journey. best wishes from the north east coast of England.

Depeche Mode are LEGENDS. Saw them live a couple years ago with my mother because it was one of her bucket list bands. Now we're going again this summer because you can never be sure how long a band of that age can still tour. The whole concert is a spectacle and Dave has an insane presence on stage. There's alomst no-one else who can act like he does without it feeling fake, but he makes everything feel natural. Like those spins around... in 99,9999% of Bands that would feel tacky but when he does it it's like "you, how else would you move at that moment".

Depeche Mode (French for "fast fashion") was formed in 1980 as a British synth pop group w/ Dave Gahan (lead vocals), Martin L. Gore (guitar/ keys), Vince Clarke (keys) and Andrew 'Fletch' Fletcher (samples/ keys)... They had an early pop hit in 1981 - "Just can't get enough"... Vince Clarke soon left and was replaced by Alan Wilder (keys/ drums) and Depeche Mode made a name for themselves w/ a string of studio albums which were written mostly by Martin Gore ... By 1986, Depeche Mode was developing a more 'gothic' sound and dark delivery w/ the albums 'Black celebration' (1986) and 'Music for the masses' (1987) and grew even more popular as a result... They headlined the Rose Bowl stadium in California on that tour in 1988. 'Violator' (1990) was the record that pushed Depeche Mode into superstar status, scoring huge singles - 'Personal Jesus'... 'Enjoy the silence'... 'Policy of truth'... and sold 3x platinum in the US (3 million copies). However, Depeche Mode became dysfunctional w/ fame & fortune, and Dave Gahan (lead vocals) also became hooked on heroin as the band released 'Songs of faith and devotion' (1993) and toured into 1994... Alan Wilder would leave the band and was never replaced; Depeche Mode would play concert w/ various hired musicians. They returned in 1997 w/ the album 'Ultra'... but Dave Gahan was still recovering from his addictions... Depeche Mode did not tour until 1998 after Gahan was in better shape. Gore, Gahan and Fletcher carried on recording and touring for the next 2 decades. In 2022, Andrew Fletcher died unexpectedly at age 60... Depeche Mode have announced that they would honor him w/ a new album 'Memento Mori' in 2023 and a tour to follow.

Thanks for the great reaction ! One of the names for this style of music in the the 80s amd 90s was Modern Rock, industrial and New Wave. It laid the foundation for what we have now in rock and pop. Back in the 80s and 90s we used to dress like these UK groups and it was part of culture for ppl. under 30. We stood out and most thought we were weird and misunderstood. Now it’s cool and accepted for this generation, but back then you had to deal with dirty looks and sometimes harassed for just looking different. Just like you see young ppl. now doing punk and no big deal and no one is shocked. I remember around 82 when I just colored or highlighted just my bangs and everyone was like woah and freaked out and I’m a guy. Btw. You should listen to the many other Depeche Mode songs and they have many.

True. But young people today want music they can call their own. I can't say I like that music, or understand it, but the kids deserve their own style or sound or whatever you want to call it. DM were new and exciting back when they started and kids like me were hypnotised. I still am, truth be told. But it's good that new bands today are not like Depeche Mode, that's the way it should be. That said, it's sooo nice when I see the younger fans at a DM gig, it's great to see them feel what we all felt all that time ago.

I live in Nashville TN and they have the cheapest tickets for the tour here. I grew up in Miami and glad there’s not a high demand here for them with all this country bs. $18 a ticket here. Every other city was like $80 or $100 each.

Depeche Mode has literally been my favorite band since I was a young kid. I grew up hearing their music because of people in my family & I have been a fan ever since. They put on phenomenal live shows & their music is the best. Every album they've done, I've absolutely loved. Also, Martin Gore, the guy that was doing the backing/harmonizing vocals, actually does lead vocals on some of their songs, too. Some of my favorites that he sings are "A Question Of Lust", "Somebody", "I Want You Now" & "Home". He does others, but if you ever want to react to some he does vocals on, those are good ones to check out. I'd love to see more DM reactions from you, I think you'll love them so much the more you listen to them!

Depeche Mode is a religious experience. Pure genius song writing. Deep, dark, disturbing, soul stirring, relevant, so many people identify with their music. Legend group of the 80's. The best and my favorite band of the 80-90's. Synthpop icons.

There's no better act to see. Your soul gets taken over. Dave captures the stage. Make sure you get to see them live at least once in your life! This summer, I see them in the Golden Circle at Twickenham! First time I saw them in 84/85 at Wembley Arena, UK. They've been a big part of my life. Fortunate to chat and shake hands with Peter Gordeno in 2021 when Dave Gahan was with the Soulsavers at the London Coliseum.

I've seen Depeche Mode multiple times live going back to the 90's (and as recently as a few weeks ago in Las Vegas) and it is absolutely what you said: an experience. There's nothing like it. Depeche Mode fans really are the best fans in the world. A very diverse group of fans, many of them outsiders who have often felt alone or have gone through a lot in life, together as one, celebrating life. At least half of the people in the crowd would tell you Depeche Mode is their favorite band. It only took you a couple of minutes to figure out why. The new world tour is incredible. They're better than ever. If you see one show this year, go see Depeche. You really will have the best time of your life. I love Depeche Mode. Dave and Martin are two of my favorite people ever. Really enjoyed your reaction! So glad you enjoyed the music and the performance. Go see them in concert...you won't regret it. Cheers.

I was familiar with them but never really a fan, then some years ago a friend of mine toook me to a concert. It was a transofmrative experience, they are the whole package: absolute top-tier showmanship and musicianship, paired with the irresistible joy and unending love for the music and the audience, you 100% feel how happy they are that you are there, just to dance and have fun toghether:)

What a wholesome performance and reaction as well. I dont know why but i teared up a little bit. Daves performance here is so free and innocent and it makes it very lovable and energizing at the same time.

Yeah being at a Depeche Mode concert is a whole experience. Some of the best concerts I´ve ever been too. Dave doesn´t have to sing the choruses anymore. The audience always sings for him. Personal Jesus is wonderful live. Everyone reaches out when he sings "Reach out and touch Faith" It´s glorious!

Aileen it's so good to see you a younger generation enjoying some class music from my youth, Depeche Mode is one of those Classic gems that resonates through the decades and have been covered by so many artists proving that the quality in the music & lyrics are hypnotic, Thank God I grew up through the 60's,70's & 80's when he amount of music had a great diversity and are still used today in TV ads, Movies etc.

Hi, thanks for the reaction and praising this legendary band. I am enjoying their music for almost 40 years now and they still deliver quality. DM has influenced so many artists through the years. 'Never let me down again' and 'Blasphomous Rumours' are 2 of many you should see and since you like metal also, maybe check out also the covers from Rammstein (Stripped) and Marilyn Manson (Personal Jesus).

Awesome!! Glad you liked the performance. I got to see these guys live many years ago, in my hometown. Ironically I wasn’t a fan yet, and only knew a few songs. But it was that show that spurred my fandom, and I started buying their albums, one after the other. I came to really appreciate their quality of songwriting, lyricism and overall craft. Yet there was a separate experience I had involving this particular song: There was this really cool Goth club I went to a couple times way back when. They had a massive, blasting sound system there. The usual fare was heavy industrial tracks, but sometimes they went old-school, with songs like this. And one night it was this exact tune they blasted so loud. Absolutely everybody got on the dance floor and I just remember being so wonderfully lost in the music.

This is my favorite song since I was 11. It has carried me through some of the most beautiful and the most heartwrenching times of my life. What you see from David Gahan during this performance is gratitude. He went through heroin addiction, was clinically dead and brought back, and most recently, lost their friend and bandmate Andrew Fletcher, the "glue" that kept the band together. He and Martin L. Gore (the other bandmate he shouts out at the end) have had a long and rocky history because the latter is so introverted and softspoken that the far more exuberant Dave has had a habit of running roughshod over him. Dave is making a concerted effort to direct the spotlight away from himself. After all, it's Martin who writes the songs. I think it's beautiful.

Welcome to the 80s when the best music was produced ;), in my opinion. I don't know your age but it's a decade with loads of music that needs to be re-experienced/discovered by the younger generation of music lovers, who have missed out on the history and experiences of music development. I was born in 1969 and grew up during this musical journey. Hope you continue your journey..... exploring great music. Love from Sweden.

I've seen them a few times. One of those times I think might have been this same tour. They had those same contortionist in the background. I got about half way though this song before I realised that that was a video of those contortionists. They stayed so still the whole time but you'd see them make slight adjustments or move their eyes. Depeche Mode puts on a great show, they have lots of great songs. Great band to catch
