This pattern was really cool to make, it was a little confusing at first but then I got the hang of it and it was really simple. Thank you for showing me this design 😅😊

You have to continue without paying attention to the colors, you just follow the tutorial with the colors in the order you got. Sorry I am french so I hope you understood me !

Flavie will it not mess it up if you continue it in the order it is in? i’m just not sure what to do after watching the video the first time.
@rais144 жыл бұрын
don't pay attention to the colors, but the positioning of the strings. the colors will change each time you "repeat" if that makes sense.

Couldn’t repeat from the beginning. The instructions are confusing

same problem

When you restart from the beginning, focus on the string position not the color. The pattern should still turn out :)

Thank you so much! I would've gotten lost without this.. this pattern is rather confusing..

I think the problem that people are having is four fold. 1. She isn’t starting from the left side of the bracelet like almost all other patterns. 2. She isn’t following the pattern she links to in the description. 3. not everyone knows how to read patterns and 4. She isn’t talking while she is working. I myself after many years just learned how to read patterns. Before now I would exclusively work on patterns where the person would talk step by step while I wrote down the steps of the pattern in a way that made sense only to me and then I would do the pattern and it would work almost every time. While these patterns on this account are cool, unless you know exactly how to read patterns, this account isn’t for you. Go find someone who can break down verbally step by step how to read friendship bracelet patterns. Once you know how to read a pattern, then you can come back to this account and click on links to patterns you like that she does and do them without watching her do them. Lastly, most patterns show steps being done in pairs with strings being removed from the right and left side of the bracelet every other row and in every single video she doesn’t move a single string unless she’s knotting with that string. These are the reasons her “tutorials” are so difficult to follow. Hope that sort of helps.

Thanks for explaining. I kept redoing coz it wasn’t going the right way but I couldn’t understand why since I followed exactly in the video 😢

This is a great vid but I wish you would speak in them or at least add instructions in the closed captions, otherwise great tutorial :)

Ok.... just... NO!!!! I have watched like 9 different tutorials for how to do this double-wide zigzag pattern.... And I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME FIGURE IT OUT!!!!! IS THIS JUST ME?!?! I've re started about a dozen different ones.... Even tried using the exact same colors as in tutorials I'm watching so as to make it even easier.... I consider myself to be at least "Intermediate Level" when it comes to making these by now... I know how to do over two dozen now, mostly off the top of my head without any referring to anything... And this includes a number of "Intermediate & advanced" level ones (which I DO have to refer back to instructions on sometimes, yes!) Like the Greek Spiral/Wave, the two tone 🌊 wave pattern, the double chevrons, all different kinds of the "ribbon"/striped "zigzag," I can do SINGLE row zig zag patterns, lattice work, tapestries, rag rug, diamonds, hearts, alternating triangles, vertical stripes, totem poles, Peruvian Waves, flip flop, shaped waves.... I can add borders to almost anything now... The WIDEST I've made so far was 16 strings but I don't like doing much more than 12- too many string to juggle and I just don't think they're very attractive once they get too wide! But.... I. CAN. NOT. FIGURE. THIS. ONE. OUT!!!!! Please tell me I'm not the ONLY person with this issue?! Admittedly, I have always had a MUCH harder time following & not messing up **a LOT!** ANy/all of the "1/2- pattern" or whatever you wanna refer to the kinds like these where you work in pairs & when you leave out the 1st& last strings every other row....(or the 1st string in even # rows & the last in odd #rows or whatever like in the Greek Wave one)... these kind ALWAYS DO kinda trip me up some& I can't EVER remember how to do them & always have to refer back to my written down row by row instructions or these tutorial vids... But that's okay! However... I CANNOT FIGURE OUT THIS ONE, DAMMIT!! I've managed to get the first section down... Sooo I guess that's like, 8-10 rows? (I'm trying to count on the ONE ive been the "most successful" with, which is pretty pathetic that that's as far as I get before im totally lost!) No one ever goes on past the first section- they just say "repeat from step one!' well ESPECIALLY when you're strings don't come back to the order you Originally started in, it can be REALLY HARD TO DO THAT!!! and it's also REALLY EASY to forget which numbered row you're on unless you do the entire section without stopping for anything... (THANK YOU "BeyondBracelets" for actually verbally explaining what's going on through every step AND for always doing at LEAST 2 "sections" in each tutorial... However, she hasn't done THIS pattern yet, sooo... Yeaaah... She also does something else that's super helpful!!!) And I'm gonna REQUEST that here! She always, in the video description section, writes down the steps for each row!!! Example (I'm completely making this up just showing what I mean) "10 strings (or 5 folded in half) 5 different colors, 2 of each, etc etc... *= leave out 1st & last strings for these rows- these will be the EVEN numbered rows 1. FF, FF, F/B, B/F, BB *2. FB, BB, BF, BF 3. BB, BF, FB, FB, BF *4. FB, FF, FF, BF 5. BF, BB, BF, FB, FF *6. FF, FB, BB, BF REPEAT FROM STEP 1 😁" (oh & if it wasn't evident enough above: FF- Forward knot, BB- backwards knot, FB- forward/backwards, BF- backwards/forwards knot types! &As I said, that's NOT and bracelet pattern, I just made that up as an example- who knows wtf that would turn out like if u followed that "pattern" lol) She is the ONLY one I've seen who takes the time to do this& I don't see how it would be THAT HARD or time consuming to add to your videos pleeeeeeaaaaase?! (Since typing THAT out took me all of 3mins & when I scribble those directions down in my notebook it takes me barely a few mins, depending on how many rows!) Could you or SOMEONE please do that for THIS PATTERN?! (AND ALLLLL of your tutorials, preferably!?) Noooooo one else ever WRITES the rows like this!!! It's EXTREMELY HELPFUL to go along with the video (or heck, I don't even need the video much if I JUST have it written that way!) But it's not just helpful the first time thru but If u get lost or the next time u try to make that bracelet again, etc etc... I LOVE the look of this one & have 2 friends who have asked me for bracelets in this pattern but I can't friggin figure it out! Help me puuuhhlease!!! 😭

And here I am, a 13 year old. Having a hard time. But no I’m not complaining that’s it’s “too hard” I keep trying and eventually I got it. So take a deep breath and start again. Sometimes adults can learn from kids 🙂🙃
