AFTER PRAYER, THE ALL WE'RE RELEASED.... AND STOOD WITH THE HANDS UP...WALKING THE ISLES, PRAISING GOD FOR THEIR DELIVERANCE!! CAN GOD?

The most High dwelleth wherever He pleases. His presence even remained in a dead man's body, raising the body of another! (2Kings 13) I know the FIRST time I walked into a congregation that was TV be my place of fellowship for a season, the atmosphere was charged with YAH's presence. I wept the entire service as Holy Spirit touched me. Although I was truly born-again at 12, I'd not sensed Him so near; changed my life... G-d so present & tangible! 👐👑🙌 Shalom Blessings to all 👏💞

Since you were not alone in that place, then you experience Yah, in the congregation, the body of Christ, His temple not made by human hands. not a building right. This is why we gather together to fellowship in the Lord...for where two or three gather together, in my name, there "I AM" in the midst of them. Ye are the temple of the Lord, if you dwell in Him and He in you . That is the LIFE Yeshua promised to those who believe in Him. You will know Him through the fellowship not because of any alter or building, or any non living thing. Blessings friend, in Christ our beloved and soon coming King.

"Aimee welcomed all people, regardless of their race or faith." The Angelus Temple Commissary also fed tens of thousands of hungry people in L.A. during the depression, regardless of citizenship. No questions asked. Perhaps U.S. churches in 2018 need to be reminded of this example of Christ.

The truth is that regardless of her salvation status, she was just human like all of us. Why is it that we expect ministers to be perfect? They are just people. But the Bible also says “the gifts and callings of God are without repentance”... meaning even when you screw up, God forgives you. If we want grace, we have to extend grace to others.

I used to be part of a small ministry in Hollywood, and In the late 70's and early 80's we would often attend Angeles temple. The head of our ministry went to Angeles temple as a child and she would share stories of Aimee Semple McPherson and her experiences. We would often see Rolf McPherson there and Howard Courtney was the pastor. He was a wonderful pastor and a real shepherd.

We can go around and around about Aimee's lifestyle, controversies, and anointed flamboyant spirituality, but it all comes down to a LOT of good fruit that she produced in peoples' lives through salvations, healings and edification of the Church of Jesus. She seemed to be the embodiment of God's love, power and grace, which under the New Covenant overshadows all of the legalistic and predictable responses of her naysayers. She was simply too large in scope to be contained. God bless the Foursquare gospel and its founder!

To all the Christians watching this while on their own white horse, thinking they should spout of how evil she was, please don't forget Philippians 1:15-18, since no matter the motives, the Gospel was still being preached! Philippians 1:15-18New Living Translation (NLT) 15 It’s true that some are preaching out of jealousy and rivalry. But others preach about Christ with pure motives. 16 They preach because they love me, for they know I have been appointed to defend the Good News. 17 Those others do not have pure motives as they preach about Christ. They preach with selfish ambition, not sincerely, intending to make my chains more painful to me. 18 But that doesn’t matter. Whether their motives are false or genuine, the message about Christ is being preached either way, so I rejoice. And I will continue to rejoice.
@LeonardGarden
@LeonardGarden 6 жыл бұрын
Well, there is rejoicing and there is rejoicing. Paul rejoiced in chains simply because however recklessly, the Gospel was getting out while he was in chains. Since nothing is impossible with God, this woman indeed brought doctrinal milk, not the nourishing meat of the Gospel. Now if saying so is to ride a white horse, I will ride it without shame. Christ revealed the Gospel to the 5000, but rebuked them when they followed, looking for bread for their bellies. Get it?

I did a term paper about Sister Aimee in college. One of my sources was a wonderful biography of her called "Least of All Saints." Aimee was certainly flamboyant and perhaps a bit of a shyster, but she was also kind, a riveting speaker, and sincere in her Pentecostal faith. She once stated "I'd rather have bad publicity than no publicity" which could be the motto of celebrities everywhere. I didn't know two men died trying to save her from drowning though. That's awful, especially since she faked the drowning.

Ancient Wisdom I can understand why you are saying what you said. But read her biography. She was quite a character to say the least. Her background throughout her life was very devious! She married a preacher and he died so she took over his place being a traveling preacher. She herself admitted she didn't read her Bible but powers just came over her when she got up to preach. She was extremely wayward and that never changed. Her testimony didn't add up to me. Benny Hinn got his mantle from touching her grave. I don't know what you think of him, but I consider him a false prophet. And she was, as well, in my estimation. I have heard good things about 4 Square Church, though. I'm not familiar with that, other than what I've heard. But she didn't bear witness with my Spirit, in the least, when I read her book. That was back in the 90's. It was in the library where I lived.

I've always been a little fascinated by the fact that she was deeply religious, Pentecostal, the way I was raised, and yet in a time when women couldn't yet vote, she left the confines of home and marriage to be an evangelist. I know my grandfather, who was a Pentecostal pastor of his own church, did not have a high opinion of her. Of course he didn't think much of ANY woman who dared to THINK at all lol. It was a pretty daring thing to do, especially in that time. I wonder if the Bob Shuller in this story is related to the Robert Shuller of the Crystal Cathedral??

Beth Roesch i have a friend who left home at 16 to become an evangelist. She was fiery and operated in a lot of gifts. Before we knew her she was holding a revival near our home and my grandma had been going. She invited my mom. My mom then invited my dad who kept finding reasons to not go. My mom finally called him out saying “you refuse to go because shes a woman!!” After that my dad had to go! LOL. Her revival went on for six weeks. And we were there most of the nights!

How do all the "evangelists" justify living in ridiculous luxury while they take money from the elderly and poor people who barely have enough to get by? Televangelists are disgraceful. "Send money, send money, and I'll see that you get to heaven!"

All I know is her impact on mass audiences in the early, defining years of radio programming. Right or wrong, lies or truth, she took a little money from a lot of people and used the big money on herself. That being said, her beleivers still believe, and so money well invested, right?

You who are without sin should cast the first stone. If l spent a week with any of these accusers l could find dirt but Paul said whatever is good and pure think on these things. But we are all going through the wilderness together so God bless you all.
