Yes, this is one of the best line dances created back in 1965 in Philly, and you there in Texas can be sure to know you have the spirit and the soul behind this dance that is 48 years old-and was called "The Chez Vous Walk"-and now referred to as "The Marvin Gaye Walk"-and check out KennyJ DOING THE CALLING OUT OF THE STEPS TO THIS LINE DANCE. We also did a dance called "The Wagner Walk" to this song by Marvin Gaye from 1965 at the Jerry Blavat Dances in Philadelphia-that continue today. Texas?

This is cool as hell. I grew up outside Detroit and attended Willow Run High School (where Nick Ashford graduated) . The black kids loved their Motown, and yes, they could dance waaayyyyy better than us white students

I have been doing this dance since 1965 in Philadelphia, PA , and it was called "The Chez Vous Walk" , and the line dance came from the teens who danced at The Jerry Blavat Record Hops of the mid 1960's. The dance is often called "The Marvin Gaye Walk" as done by Soul line dancers, like KennyJ in South Jersey.
