I think in terms of growth and developing... Leigh Anne turned from a beautiful voice to VOCAL BEAST!!! She literally worked her ass off, and now she really can go to a g5 with so much ease! Her growth has been incredible. PS: Jesy when she do runs with her head voice is UNSTOPABLE!!! She sounds like autotuned

For me, Perrie's always been their best singer. Great lows, best belts, developed voice. But no one beats Jade's musicality. Her ease in harmonies, ad libs, note changes, lows make every song non-monotonous. Leigh Anne easily is the most improved and she belts really well now. She can definitely match Perrie in belts. Jesy has the most unique tone. She makes you feel many things in every song.

Fifth Harmony was handled differently. You probably don’t know that they had no creative freedom until their last era, which was their best. They were given songs. And producers/their label would choose who sings what. But they can harmonize and do display excellent friendship/sisterhood. You’ve just been looking at the wrong videos.

Normani was trained to dancing professionally when she was four, so the others are not going to be at her level when it comes to dancing. Plus, they had a lot of issues, especially in 2016, with their label. They were so tired and exhausted. They didn’t have creative freedom. Camila was leaving. Normani got bullied. Lauren’s voice declined. Dinah had more trouble with her breathing control. 2016 took a strain on them as a group because of their label. That’s why in interviews they look tired and just over it. Camila was especially quiet because she grew very self-conscious on what people would talk about her in the comments. In earlier interviews, people would always comment Camila as “annoying” or something else. Ally brought a lawyer and they managed to own the rights to Fifth Harmony, except Camila because she left beforehand. As a foursome, their friendships grew stronger because they were able to write. Ally’s dancing improved. Lauren tried more. Normani’s confidence grew a little more. Dinah really shined more on stage and on tour. Just look at their beginning era (Better Together) where everything is fine and they had a strong friendship. Then the era where they begin to rise (Reflection era) with their hit Worth It to their 7/27 era, which was their biggest and yet most troublesome era. And after that became their best era as a group.

Thank for giving some love to Perrie’s lows ! I’ve always said that she has great lows but people thought that she’s only good at high notes. Her thicker voice really makes her lows sound present and her highs powerful. Jade and Leigh Anne having lighter voices enables that to have more agility too which I find so cool

I'll never understand why many Mixers turned their backs on Perrie as if she's some outsider in the group. It's always okay to love all the other girls and single them out, but it's almost as if people are embarassed to compliment Perrie. Yes they're all great performers but Perrie has always been an absolute beast, a top singer on the level of the best that ever existed! Be proud she's part of the group you love.

My favourites are definitely Jesy and Perrie. Just because Jesy voice sounds like chocolate and red wine and roses and it's so good. So so good. And Perrie is just a beast, she can cover all the bases like low notes, belts, head voice, falsetto, growl I bet she can do whistle if she try. Yay! Love for Leigh-Anne. I think she has a beautiful voice. She has such a gorgeous tone and it’s such a delight to hear her sing. I think a lot of her vocal ‘weaknesses’ stem from her having a lack of confidence in her ability. As she’s shown many times that she has the ability to do more with her voice but she doesn’t push herself to achieve it because of anxiety. Her confidence has grown so much in the last few years and she’s being more adventurous with what she’ll try. It’s awesome. I hope she keeps growing in confidence because she is so talented!

First of all, amazing video! I really enjoyed it. Leigh Anne is my fave too lol Jade really stands out in terms of musicality and creativity. I think her tone is my least favourite (I still love it though), but her lows are amazing and her note changes are so creative! Leigh's high notes are my favourite, I love her girly and light tone. Love her runs too, quite fast and precise as you said. Jesy's voice is so sassy sometimes and I love it. I really wish she gave us more belts before leaving the group because her voice is amazing! Perrie's tone in low notes is probably my favourite, so dark and full. I love her😍her voice is so soulful and very unique. Can't wait for more vocals and performances

yet another great video from you!!! keep up the great content :))) i don’t know that i would ever place perrie above jade when it comes to lows or even leigh-anne, i would say: jade>leigh>perrie>jesy. jade is great within her comfor range in this register which i would say is a bit wider than the others and i have never seen leigh struggle with ease, projection, or overall control even at the extremes of her lows. belting i would say perrie>leigh>jesy>jade. jade is good within her comfort range (which about the same as the others) but outside of that she’s shrill, throaty, and tends to be pitchy but she does have ease, same kinda goes for jesy. now when we talking bout agility jade does not have the speed control that leigh has, nor is she as precise or fluid to be placed on the same level but she’s good at them as well so i would say leigh>jade>jesy>perrie. finally, perrie’s head voice>>>> lol... jesy’s head voice is good too tho, leigh’s is alright and so is jade’s sooo perrie>jesy>leigh>jade. if we talking bout falsetto jade has a lot of ease and control so i would say she is the best, perrie’s and jesy’s falsetto is also good and leigh’s is alright: jade>perrie>jesy>leigh. also, Leigh-Anne is also my bias and basically for the same reasons as you lol ^~^

Your list was 100% as I predicted, You always bring in objectivity (which everyone knows is the foundation of singing), and you never fall for that trap of "its all art everything equal omg" stanning. Yes, personal tastes are a factor but I love that you stress that fundamentals of singing are a major factor. They are all great but Perrie is exceptional and comparable to those we often refer to as the 'legends' in music, so I would give her the W if we're forced to compare but I favor Leighanne as well. Off topic but Perrie's lack of agility in my view is a stylistic choice, she sings strong with open vowels and high depth of cord with her vocal cord closure, similar to Lady Gaga / Whitney Houston, and gives a big sound especially in headvoice. Leighannes on the other end of that spectrum where she rather be agile and soft. But as Whitney showed us, the Power - Agility ratio is somewhat of a choice.

@@aintnootherfan You're welcome, It's an interesting technique we used in church that isn't taught much outside of gospel singing. I took 4 years of Choir and cord closure is so overlooked in classical singing (outside of glottal attack), that I genuinely don't think agility is an endemic vocal trait. I would dare say people over estimate the difficulty of run/riffs and coluratura and underestimate the difficult of clean even fast vibrato, they're technically along the same "agility" spectrum in my view. I have seen baritones and bases more agile than sopranos.

People often say she has the worst agility of the group but I don’t believe we’ve heard enough to say that. She’s got some incredibly controlled runs like in the love on the brain cover. I would love to hear some more from her.

In my opinion I just don't think Perrie is a Melismatic singer (runs and riffs) naturally I am a belter, and that's what I've spent a lot of time on, it never occurred to me to practice all these crazy runs until now and let me tell you... If you're a belter it is HARD, riffs and runs are better sang in passagio (mixed voice) but if you're a belter you default belt or head voice, so if you want to run you have to try and do it in your head voice and translate to a belt or try and figure out how the hell to mix! Some singers are naturally good at melismas and some are not. Practice can help but it'll never sound quite as fast and natural as a Melismatic singer

@@imogengoring9555 I'm far more Melismatic than "powerful" but I'm a second tenor so I have a bit of natural weight to compensate. Everything classical music attributes to fach and agility is a total lie. I'm a male and I can articulate runs faster than 90% of Lyric sopranos. Look at singers like Luke James who's a baritone / tenor similar in tone and agility to me. It's a matter of "depth of vocal cord". It's more of a "gospel" technique but it's the reason you see gospel singers with these HEAVY / POWERFUL voices still doing lightning fast runs. Whitney Houston & John Legend are a great example of leveraging power and depth of cord with agility.. You are correct that anatomy place a role, but it's very minor compared to technique, heavy toned singers need to learn to negotiate chest and head coordination and alternate between an agile mode and powerful mode the same way people with thinner voices have to learn to get full cord closure. With the information you gave me about your voice, you should practice agility in your headvoice. Fuller toned "belty" voices just habitually retreat to register points, you should also practice singing more forward, open and 'loose' for lack of a better word. Avoid glottal attack and onset each vowel with a soft "H" vowel (EX: E = hE), that' will lessen the cord compression dramatically, also stick to lazy vowels instead of heavy ones "Aye Eey EyE Owe YOU" are very slow, shoot for "Ah Eh Ih Oh Uh"... trust me you will be just as agile with training it just takes more effort for your big beautiful voice.

Incredible video! When I first heard Little Mix I preferred Perrie by MILES, now I love them all because of their unique voices, great musicality, incredible performances and (as it seems) true friendship. They don't try to outshine the other members when they're in their solos, they really act like a group, not like a battle! At the beginning of their career i must say that my ranking would be Pez Jeed Jesminda Lee lee But as they grew as vocalists, i found Lee to be the most improved out of the girls. She really worked her way up with her vocals improving year after year. Pez has always been the belter. Lee is the second best belter. Jeed has the most beautiful lows even though people give it to Jes but Jeed's are more beautiful. Runs are for Jeed and Lee maybe because of their light tone. But i would say i love Jesy's riffs and runs especially when she uses her headvoice. Pez's runs may not be the best but her power makes them very interesting. But Jeed has my heart from the very start. I love them all though. Another very good video. 😊

At the beginning of their career I have to say I think Jesy was better than Jade. Jade was amazing but she sounded so fragile I felt like she could just go offkey anytime (but mostly she didn’t). But that showed that her vocal’s stability was not as good as Jesy. We can be fooled by Jesy’s vibrato and think it makes her voice fragile but at the beginning, she definitely had more control than Jade. But over time I was amazed at how much control Jade has gained and there is no longer that fragile feeling to her voice. So Jade has definitely become better than Jesy during later years

I was thinking the same thing! Like, I used to have a friend who would compliment me exactly like that, and it turned out she was a fake friend. What Jesy said was supposed to be a compliment, but the way she said it, the look on her face, it felt like a bad thing. I think that's just one of the red flags they sang about in Cut You Off. That's actually really sad. Jesy said they're like sisters, I just hope she doesn't treat her family like that too.
