Just in case you guys didn't catch it, at the beginning, when Ains was asking them who gave them permission and what did they say, and he said "Give Ains of the great tomb of Nazarick my regards"...that's how he knew it was a lie, because anyone other than the NPCs, who would not have given this permission at all without his explicit instruction to do so, would not have known that he changed his name to Ains, they would have said "give Momonga my regards". He almost believed them, because he wanted to believe them, but that part there told him it was just him trying to lie his way out of it.

He never believed it in the first place. He was just letting them state their case but he already knew they were gonna lie about it. He was the one who gave the old mage the idea to raid his tomb. He did talk to them before this as Momon when he asked them why they're raiding this tomb and they all answered "For Money".

​@@TimmahExplosion basically the parents sold them for money after their big sister never came back and they died from overwork, as you might guess, it's inefficient to make little girls do hard labor so their new owners obviously had a better use for them 💀 As for the parents, well, they would eventually die no? Probably will take on debts until it comes to bite them and that's it. To be honest, the author had a worse fate for both them and their big sister in the Web Novel but apparently community vote asked them to be saved, which didn't align with what the author wanted, after getting serialized to a proper Light Novel, the author followed with the bad end for them without any need for a vote but I heard that this was still the mild, nerfed version of their deaths, both her and her sisters were out for true hell if the author had more freedom 😅 Even though I believe most of this is correct, I don't have any links or names to give you to confirm, you would need to search the internet for your answers. Have a nice one.

Ah I remember when this episode first came out, so many people rage quit like they just realize Aizn isn't some righteous hero. It was pretty annoying coz a season ago, he was literally planning to wipe out an entire civilization (lizardmen) and turn them to undead but apparently some viewers didnt get the idea lol

The funny thing is that when he almost reveals Momon's identity, but then just says "no, he's not a useful bargaining chip", he's not even lying. If Momon was actually a real person, he still wouldn't be a useful bargaining chip. Think. He is a mighty warrior... but only as mighty as a magic caster pretending to be a warrior is. He wouldn't stand a chance against Ainz, or any of the guardians. So yeah, even if Momon was actually on their side, he wouldn't have been helpful. If he even was willing to enter the tomb (that isn't the job he was hired for), he still wouldn't be able to save them, at least not through fighting and threats.

Not so fun facts: in the source material I’m pretty sure the two sisters got sold into slavery after their sister died to shalltear… just to add insult to injury. the priest had his god replaced with a rock from the floor, (not a rock with any significance just a plain ass rock from the floor lmao), he was also made functionally rtarded from all the mind fuckery he went through. But ains was successful in replacing his god with that rock, and he was still able to his magic. When ains said: “in nazarick, death is mercy that frees you from suffering” he was not fuckin lying 😂 (I might be slightly wrong about the facts as it’s been a long time since I’ve read the source material but I’m pretty sure that I’m like 90% accurate :P )

In the webnovel(basically actual source material, because even LN was changed and censored) arche wasnt killed that day, she became Shalltear sex toy, Roberdyck(Cleric) was skinned deprived of limbs(basically turned into meatball) but was constantly kept alive via healing magic and used as never ending supply of food for monsters. So, yeah...death is a mercy in Nazarick.

It was take that gamble, try to run (which Foresight knew wouldn't work with all of the Nazarick residents who were watching the entire thing, let alone Ainz himself), or just engage Ainz on the spot. That gamble was their best (albeit very slim) hope of survival, so it's hardly surprising that they took that chance even knowing it would more than likely fail.

Ains is not the villain, is someone that only worries for Nazarick and his people. The humans are worst Ainz, The other human empires Rape, Murder also they hate the semi humans and are always committing atrocities to elfs or another semi human razes. So Generally speaking each Kingdom see for their own benefit. However, in the novel there is a part where the Arche's father requesting a lent of a huge amount of gold coins, all while speaking bad about his own daughter and how ungrateful she is. But this time she will not be there to pay that, so they let you see her family will be ruined because now there is no one who pays the excessive amount of debts they have. There are people like Enri who hate the Empire or the kingdoms because always are abused by them. When Roderic ask why the experiments Ainz said about they would like to prove if those gods are real or only persons who were important and with the time transformed in deities, all this to confirm if is possible to know about them and the magic they have, Ainz is worried because maybe now they are strong but if they do nothing eventually someone else can surpass them so that’s why is seeking mos power to ensure the prosperity of Nazarick and his people

Dawg, any team with Demiurge on it is immediately an evil team. The human empires are evil, the human civilians living in villages are not. Literally every character from Nazarick except Sebastian will do evil with a smile on their face, and even he'll do so if asked by Ainz. This is a "both sides bad" situation, with the regular villagers just trying to survive being caught in the middle. Demiurge will be using regular villagers as fuel for "generic evil experiment/plot number 5919394945", meanwhile Ainz talks empty words about saving people.

I get how much you want to hold onto Ainz as a good guy, people hate when the protagonist is evil, but lets be honest with ourselves, he's not a good guy and he IS evil. He might be acting in the interest of his people, he might love and care for them in a way, but a lot of the shit he does, or allows to be done, is just torment and wanton brutality, plain and simple, that he orchestrated to happen himself. If I had to give him an alignment i'd put him comfortably at neutral evil, arguably the worst kind, the most pure, and that genuinely fits given the fact that his character in the original game was neutral evil aligned with the max possible negative karma, his soul is probably as black as oil and those adventurers that broke into his tomb? He lured them there for god sake's and had the nerve to go on a rant about them coming there when that's exactly what he wanted to happen. He's perpetrated countless massacres, killed untold numbers of people, all while saying he feels nothing at all. If anything i say his game alignment probably carried over into his current body and influenced his mind to be more rutheless and evil then he would have been in his normal life, which is pretty sad tbh. saying the humans are worse, which is true is some ways, is just justification and an excuse to not accept the fact that he's not a perfect good guy protagonist like you might want. People often grow attached to evil characters and try to justify their own feelings of connection by saying they are actually good and yet the series is set up to not be cut and dry at all. The whole series is about the concept of good vs evil, and how your own concept of these things can be twisted by just putting the thing in a different perspective. So, is Ainz is evil? Yep. and evil will only be allowed to spread, and be accepted, as long as you make justifications for it and sympathize with him, which is what your doing bro.

The only difference between Nazarick and the humans is that they don't have the power to do it. There are semi human races that kill pregnant women to eat their fetus as delicacies. The extreme evil is in all the empires and persons, but they don't have the power to escalate. The only difference between Ainz and the leaders of the other empires is his power. People like you always split the things in black and white, is not like that, that's why I like this novel, simple but interesting enough coming from a pseudo writer. In any other empire has this power, they would do the same without hesitate to achieve their goals, It is like all the people about the story that wants to rape nabe, all people do bad thing but when they realize Ainz is to much powerful, they have to accept that is their time to suffer. If the novel would relate how the Empire, Re-Estize and other kingdoms become that powerful, you will see they did exactly the same Ainz doing.

Saying Momon won't work as a bargaining chip is brilliant. Besides the obvious reason of Ainz BEING Momon, even if Momon was a real person and helping them, the strength Ainz shows as Momon is nowhere near strong enough to defeat Ainz. At most, a real Momon could hold Ainz off while the rest tried to run until they realize they can't escape anyway.
