I would like to know your real opinion regarding Aion Retail... Is it worth playing? everyone says he's dead, everyone on classic, but I don't like classic!

It's not in the best condition, but there are still people playing it, including myself. Getting most of the things on retail is way easier than on classic (kinah, gear, stigmas etc). But also there are really bad systems, like transformations. A lot of stats come from transformations and transformation collections, meanwhile unlocking these those is a real struggle. On top of this, there's exclusive pay-to-win equipment, which is being sold by Gameforge directly in the shop. Retail still receives updates from Korea. However, for the past 2 years there was nothing really big. People got bored. Some of them took a break, waiting for a major patch.

"Collect X transformations of grade Y" collection is nothing new, it already exists for Normal/Large/Ancient/Legendary. In all cases there are extra transformations available for each grade that required for collection, so you don't have to collect all transformations on a given grade to get the collection

True. But according to the lore there were 12 empyrean lords prnt.sc/0TL1xOOIwQ-y NCsoft fkd up a bit, when they added two Dragon lords into the transformation list. So now, I believe, Siel and Israphel will have a separate grade.

Ncsoft only care about classic now. This is the only version that has the right to new content (and not small content, for example the new class)

In Korea AION classic is not classic anymore. It's just an alternative version of AION.

i don't believe they will ever introduce transformations higher than ulti. maybe just wipe this system and start 9.x with new mechanics

If you remember in 5.X there were elemental xforms (water, wind, fire, earth) prnt.sc/zdfs6bekAQLQ Back then NCsoft had an idea to implement another OP xform (see the bottom of the screenshot). But then they released 6.0 and revamped almost all existing systems. So maybe you've are right.

By lore, Israphel kep living hiding in the shadows after the tower fell, and changed identity into Lord Lephar (he was the leader of the Lepharist cult). Siel, on the other hand, helped sealing Israphel when he was about to seize the time relic. Al this stuff happened during the campaign quest in Balaurea and the Reian zones, between 2.x and 3.x i think.

Tiamat and Ereshkigal are ded af too and Israphel just went into hiding, tricking the world that he sacrificed himself alongside Siel - as seen in the cutscene at the end of 3.x campaign where he attempts to take Siel's relics from the player and Kaisinel / Marchutan, depending on the faction.

These are just free money patches for addicts, I have made a bold call about a year ago they are just keeping Aion open until Throne & Liberty comes out and then 3-6 months later if the game is successful on launch they will close down Aion. It is clear they do not even want work on Aion.

All ncsoft doing is milking a dead game and supporting their new projects. Soon game gets a new Rainbow tier of transformation with xform like skills except more OP, the transform will look like a walking golden whale or similar.
