How did AIPAC know you were going to put out an article, before you put out the article?

He contacted people to interview them or ask them questions, and they obviously won't stay silent. Jone Dolezman, the woman he talked to, is an AIPAC donor that donates to anyone AIPAC endorses. She gets a call from a reporter, asking questions, she calls someone from AIPAC telling them a reporter by the name of Ryan called her for questions. When Morgan Spurlock started working on Super Size Me 2, talked to some people in the industry and bought a chicken farm, some industry chicken farmers association sent a letter to all its members warning them of him, iirc. It's interesting how these fronts work, whether it is politics or industry. They are how I'd imagine social engineering would be like, and not some lame phishing email I get at work a couple times a year.
