I can’t say it enough: the C-Series is one of the best plane design we’ve had in a long time. Quiet, efficient, good looking and roomy from what I’ve seen! This summer I’ll be flying it with Swiss, and then in the fall likely with AC or Delta. Two things I wish was there: the “loo with a view”, and the C-Series welcome mat. I am glad Airbus came to support, but I wish some of the original touches had been kept in place... Thanks Alex for the video, I am really looking forward to my first flight onboard!

@@_w_w_ Almost any new aircraft has teething issues. Give it time and it's dispatch reliability will improve.
@alancarre75905 жыл бұрын
@@_w_w_ This problem has nothing to do with the A220 design, Airbus or Bombardier. The problem is with the new Pratt & Whitney super-efficient engine's software. Apparently P&W have not isolated the cause yet, so they've advised pilots not to push engines above 95% of their maximum thrust when flying above 29,000 feet (reuters). I'm sure once the cause has been identified, these problems will go away and other aircraft manufacturers will be willing to 'take a chance' with the new technology. Bombardier was one of the first to do so, which is bold, but probably necessary to stay ahead of the curve.

It was noticable how quiet this airplane is, and those efficient Prat Whitney engines. I first became aware of Bombardier's plane when Porter Airlines wanted to get Toronto to approve them for the Island Airport, because of how quiet they where on the exterior, and complement the turboprops. Full props for the Canadian air industry, although again a company couldn't do it financially and sold to Airbus. Can't wait until i set foot in an A220. Great video.

Cancel the rest of the MAX's on order immediately, and convert all the A220 options into firm orders.
@FirstLastOne5 жыл бұрын
Cancel ALL the Boeing Max aircraft on order and make Boeing buy back the ones that Air Canada has for starters before the rest of the 'compensation' Boeing must be forced to make to Air Canada. Unfortunately, the A220-300 has a slightly shorter range at 5920km over the Max 8/9 at 6510km. Then there's the number of passengers being a lot fewer for the A220 with 12J and 125Y over the Max 8 at 16J and 153Y. And don't forget the cargo capacity of the A220 at 1700kgs and the Max 8 at 8328kgs. So when you compare the two, the the A220 is not a good direct replacement for the MAX 8. It's range is shorter by 590km, carries 4J and 28Y fewer passengers and the big killer is the reduced cargo capacity of 6628kgs. If Air Canada plays hardball with the corruption at Boeing that has cost them a lot already, they'd scrap the MAX orders and go to the A320neo and A321neo which match or beat the MAX 8 and 9. Training wouldn't be a stretch since AC already has A320s and A321 and ALL MAX pilots will have to go through simulator training IF Boeing ever gets that 55+ year old, long in tooth bucket flying again. Don't forget, Boeing has already screwed Air Canada on a few 787's. Boeing is no position to be calling the shots now. They either clean up their act or spend the next two decades being a solid number 2 builder if they are lucky.
@budsfan19705 жыл бұрын

The #A220 is the BEST narrow-body airplane on the market and I'm happy #AirCanada is finally integrating it in their fleet! Let's hope #WestJet also do the same.
