Flying Air Canada Economy Class but looking for something a little more premium without the sticker shock of a cabin upgrade? You might find yourself tempted to purchase a Preferred Economy seat to make that cramped Economy experience a little more bearable.
Join me in this video to check our what the Preferred Economy seats are like on Air Canada's Airbus A330-300. No, this isn't "Premium Economy", as that's a different cabin and ticket altogether. Preferred seats rather are a select few seats in the Economy cabin that have been deemed more favourable (and therefore more expensive $$) because of their location or because they possess extra legroom. So the real question, is it worth it?

Flew with Air Canada Rouge from Phoenix to Toronto...pure torture re: the seating. The flight attendants were fantastic but the seating was some of the worst I've experienced. Going to try and avoid Air Canada whenever I can.

Wish I was on the A330-300, I will be departing to YVR on an A321-200 in a little under 4 days unfortunately the IFE on that one is still the old one isn't very good hopefully I will get the retrofitted version with the newer IFEs

@@WillAviation Jazz teased a photo of a new cabin in a CRJ on their instagram page so you never know! AC's recent announcement about upgrading their inflight experience and soft product also makes me think a retrofit on the A321s could be near... desperately needed.

Do they give you headsets or do we bring our own?

Typically they are complimentary on Air Canada flights outside of North America - but you have to purchase them on flights within North America

Hello 😊 The seats on the 19 row are also considered « preferred » by Air Canada, but I’m wondering if the legroom is the same as the seats on row 18. Do you remember that by any chance? My hubby is 6’6 and the 18 row seats are all taken 😅 Thanks

Hi! Row 19 is an extra legroom row as well, so it has more room than standard seats but I’m not sure if it has as much legroom as row 18. Is row 33 available by any chance? That is an emergency exit row as well, so it has unrestricted legroom, but one thing I would caution is that row 33 is near the lavatories so passengers tend to congregate here when waiting to use them. Hope that helps!

So it looks like air canada pilot's are going on strike this September 17th our flight is on October 21st should i rebook with another airline? The airline is saying it "should" be ok and over by then...Any news on that you might know about? Thank you.

I would agree it’s unlikely it’ll still be going by then, but hard to say. I would wait and see

What is the Air Canada's policies concerning the dimmed window locked on the 787?

I believe they dim them all during the middle portion of the flight, particularly on overnight flights. Not sure if they lock them like that, but I’ve always been able to control them without issue!

Hi! So if we get the preferred seat18, we wouldn’t be able to stow away our personal bag under the seat? So would that mean it wouldn’t be allowed on the aircraft?

It would be allowed, but you would have to stow it in the overhead bins!
