At 9:45 you can hear the Prop go into ALPHA mode. Great vid.

Beta means the blade angle of the propellers are adjusted to produce no thrust or reverse thrust to be used during ground operations. What you heard at 9:45 in the video I think was just the after takeoff power reduction going from takeoff rated thrust to a climb power or maximum continuous thrust setting.

They changed the prop condition levers from max which is 1200 rpm to 900 rpm where they stay for almost the entire remainder of the flight
