I've never flew with premium economy before so this video was very helpful! I feel like the extra space and unlimited drinks can make it worthwhile for these long intercontinental flights to Asia :)

Thanks for making this video. Mom is 92 yo so I booked the same flight for our upcoming trip. How was boarding at Pearson? Did you get to board before the regular economy passengers?

The boarding at Pearson was smooth! I was in zone 2 for boarding but I don't really remember if we got to board before the economy passengers. I'll try to keep that in mind to remember for future flight videos! I wasn't really worried about overhead baggage space either because there was enough space for our section! :)

I'm considering Air Canada for a RETURN flight from Bangkok to Seattle (via Vancouver). For THIS flight, at least, it's considerably cheaper than Korean Air or Singapore, which I've used in the past. But it IS "economy" -- so what's the difference between this and "premium economy" discussed in this video? ...AND -- just in case anybody knows -- any comparisons of Air Canada to the OTHER airlines typically serving SE Asia, as previously mentioned? Seems like Air Canada has gotten kind of a bad "rep" lately -- is that true?

Hi there! Thank you for your comment! I would say the main difference between economy and premium economy is the extra seat room in terms of seat width, the leg room and the recline. Measurements for Premium Economy here: www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/home/fly/onboard/cabin-features/premium-economy-class.html#/ (not sure where to find the economy seat sizes haha) Another difference is the meal service, I think I was the most hydrated on this flight compared to other flights I've taken because you can get unlimited drinks whenever you want and the washroom is pretty easily accessible. It's also nice that you get real plates and metal cutlery haha. Oh also, you dont have to worry about overhead baggage space! I'm not too sure in regards to comparing other specific airlines (hopefully someone who sees this comment can answer!! ) I think Air Canada is just consistently average for me! I haven't had super bad experiences on Air Canada, but I also haven't had super impressive experiences either! For me, other factors definitely play in to booking, like timing, logistics, price of the flight.

Do you think it's possible get to the aisle without your seat neighbor getting up?

I think it might still be tight. It's also dependant on who's sitting beside you and their height. Here's more detail on the Air Canada premium economy seats on their site, if you haven't seen it yet.: www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/home/fly/onboard/cabin-features/premium-economy-class.html#/ Hope this helps!

North Americans don't seem to know the differnce between a bottled water and a water bottle

I didn’t think much of it 😂 but good point! I’ll take that into consideration for future videos!

It's disappointing to see such negativity from a fellow content creator. Let's focus on uplifting each other in this community instead of tearing each other down--or you might be solo tripping for a long while.

@@kelleyiswriting It's very disappointing to see how sensitive society has become to not be able to take any criticism (positive or negative) to create a so called "community". People need to grow up. Back in the days, flight reviews were mostly done by knowledgeable persons or aviation enthusiast who know what they're talking about. Now there's this influx of "content creators" and "influencers" who provide only very supserficial/incomplete or even wrong information. The whole point of a review is to provide an in depth and detailed description of the product. Now tell me: 1. What aircraft did she fly on? 2. What are the seat features of that premium economy seat? 3. How does the meal and service compare to other airlines? 4. Is there anything lacking from this premium economy product? 5. How's Air Canada's IFE system (movie selection, system response, UX etc.) compared to some other airlines? Is this more preferable? List goes on...
