I've an old 2004 Panasonic model as well (one CS-ME14CKPG and three CS-ME7CKPG). My original remotes still work perfectly, but I'd like to integrate my splits with Home Assistant, using a Broadlink RM4 Pro universal remote. Unluckily the broad link does not recognise my old device and it's not even capable to learn the old codes. Do you know about a wifi-enabled universal remote able to learn our very old frequencies? I can’t find my unit on any of the compatibility charts- it’s an old Mitsubishi Mr.Slim before they changed the model numbers to MS. Will any universal AC remote still work for me?

Some universal remotes can be manually programmed to you’re air conditioner. Best bet will be to find one that claims it will work for a large number of units eg; 500 different codes 1000 different codes

Hey! I just turned my AC on after an year and the AC does not respond to the remote but it responds perfectly to the AC app installed on my phone. The remote is working, showing what it needs to show, i can press all the buttons i want and all these command are showing on the remote, is just these aren't going further to the AC unit. I initially thought the AC not receiving signal from remote but it's perfectly working from the app, it means that isn't the problem? I changed the batteries in remote

What do you do if you suspect the IR receiver in the evaporator is to blame. I've tried multiple universal remotes (even one from the manufacturer) and none of them will do anything. I can't find a way to change the temp on the main unit or get any of these remotes to work. Thoughts other than buying a new unit?
