@7:36 May I know what were the final readings on gages after everything done? I think it is important. The car requires 24oz of R-134a, so I think I'll go w/this amount, but keep eye on gauges, not to go over the limits for advised in the book pressure.

about low 32psi and high about 220 psi, your air cond pump older may need more gas, some models new pump only need 22psi. use scale, because every cars gas have there own quantity, is old school, exe if this air cond still have problem like block somewhere, put this quantity will damage the system!

@@MrSamPhoenix turns out the front condenser had a hole in it. Replaced it and added the correct amount of AC oil. My AC gauges are inaccurate and need to be calibrated or replaced with a better set. AC on high. You should be able to look up the amount of oil for each component and add it to the component when you install.

Hi Danny how were you able to measure the exact amount of freon? Considering that you had 2 12oz can and the system called for 14oz
@dannysdiygarage2 жыл бұрын
Great question, I added slowly the 1st can which should be 12oz, then I monitored the outlet middle vent while slowly adding more Freon from the second can until it reached its lowest temperature reading, when you add more Freon and the temperature starts to climb stop, and that’s the amount, I used a full can and approx 6oz out of the other, which is normal because some Freon is left in the 1st can and some was left in the hose, if you have a scale, that would be best Hopefully I explained this correctly
@seabass22 Жыл бұрын
@@dannysdiygarageI read it takes 17-19 oz. So would make sense you added another 6 oz. Mine drops down to 39 F on the road. Think I’m good or should it be lower? It was over 90 degrees outside.

@dannysdiygarage5 ай бұрын
Over the years your ac system can develop a small leak and not cool as good as it could, unless you own ac machine that will properly remove recycle and evacuate the system, you’ll be limited to adding Freon, monitoring the air ducts temperature while adding a little Freon can help, just don’t add to much, go slow, you can always add more, check out this video at around 10 minutes kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZOzeImchs90i5osi=HI_inFKT_7lgxU94 Good luck, buy Freon with die and never buy anything that says it will seal leaks, I should have a link for Freon in one of my ac videos description
