I suppose this is the wrong adjective but: solid! ^.^ Though I'm curious, were you a bit fatigued, either by RL, or the effort to close your work on this song with elemental symmetry? Or am I just projecting my own fatigue with existence in general...? I do like this shade being the most reluctant but absolute destroyer. I'm reminded of the book "Haze" which postulated a planet scoured by endless bouts of super-hurricane winds. It was a very boring planet between storms, the only living things being optimized for not being torn from the ground. She almost sounds like she doesn't want to impose the apocalypse, but then remembering the constraints put upon her, the rage is uncompromising. It makes sense that air would be the most "sensitive" to the trauma she suffered. Air's not my element, so I have a little less to say than normal :P But really good work and will be watching your channel.

I was fatigued. By both having used so many ideas on previous versions (which is why Alan was a massive help with this one), as well as by my real life with work and school. Not to say I don't enjoy doing this! I most certainly do. And it wasn't exactly me being "tired" of anything, it was just the little looming thought in the back of my head that always was telling me "hey, remember you still have to finish Let it Blow", while I still had a constant list of other things I needed to do lol. But thank you! I really appreciate it.

Nim Aranel For a creative effort encumbered by being "the runt of the litter" (in the sense you had to share the milk of your creativity with other creative "offspring") this grew up quite well. Listening to it again I'm struck by the cold violence in her voice. Like a secret police officer talking about purging dissidents and letting just the tip of the iceberg of anger show. I'm also missed in my first listen how she was doing something so stereotypically "air"...thinking and re thinking about the pain to whip up the fury she needed for her magic. Water broods, it is true, but air is the type to be easily haunted by an injury and analyze it like a tongue reflexively poking a sore tooth. It is very appropriate that it has the strongest similarity to fire of the other three. But it is very distinct from fire, too. Fire was about rebirth, air was more about a sleeping giant awakening (in a vengeful rage). (Btw, my reference to the book I read was meant to emphasize that if air really got out of hand, the equilibrium it would permit would be substantially more bleak. Because fire needs fuel and water has to be funneled through the atmosphere, and eventually the pump shuts down. But air can just cycle over and over and over @_@ Which matches her reaction to her pain perfectly)
