Played in this band 1968, and is hard to get used to seeing a traditional (smaller instrumentation) Wind Band, but no denying the great blend and intonation. side note: great to finally see 3 trombones toward the very end

Why so many guest trumpet players? This is a competition. So is it really the trumpet players who are competing and the band is accompanying?

Jean Taylor this was a feature concert at the latest National Trumpet Competition. This was a featured concert that was put on. It wasn't part of the competition.
