Enjoyed the video, thank you. The background music is somewhat distracting.

Back in the day they used to have a lot more planes outside before they built the other two buildings. They used to have a lot of stuff at what they used to call the annex which you would get in a bus and go up on top of the hill where they actually restored the aircraft. And a lot of them that are out there are just too big to be put into a hanger, but at least they have them out so if you wish to look at them you're more than welcome to walk to them and learn some history. That's like the XB-70 that's inside, it used to sit outside for years actually where the IMAX is now. So hopefully someday these beautiful planes will have a home inside it just takes money and time. And as for the Doomsday plane that flew over several times this year actually flying over my house to the base. Probably just getting upgraded with some new electronics from Wright-Patterson.

The E-4B is a regular visitor to WPAFB, it uses Wright-Patt as a Satelite base to sit alert.

I really enjoyed the “Back Lot” video tour-it was a great watch! However, I think it would have been even more enjoyable if the background music were turned down or removed, as it was loud and distracting.

I just checked these out today! Really happy they finally brought the KC-10 over here, an absolute beast of an aircraft.

We got one delivered to our airfield museum last year and it's looking horrible. It need a paint refresh badly.

The C-17 on display was the one and only Pre-Production aircraft called T-1. It never joined the fleet as a regular transport aircraft, it was used for testing only. It spent its whole life at Edwards. The KC-10 arrived at the Museum in 2024

It's so weird to see a 1960 production model retired and on display when I am still actively working on 57 models every day.

The KC-10 was delivered to the museum earlier this year. Definitely logged some hours on 4-0191.

It’s called the”National Museum of the United States Air Force”. There’s no other aviation museum on the planet like it.

80’s and 90’s were the golden era for some of the most incredible technological advances in aviation! I bet you saw some very impressive planes?

NOT forgotten! Just no room in the hangers/building the museum has right now. They have plans for building more. Forgotten... NOT!
