Jordan Brand is most know for the Air Jordan signature line and one of the most popular sneakers is the Air Jordan 1. For today's video, we take a look at the Air Jordan 1 CMFT or Comfort. The Jordan 1 Comfort is an updated version of the Air Jordan 1 that changes the design of the shoe to make it a better fit for today's world. The design of the Air Jordan 1 CMFT borrows heavily from several Air Jordan designs of the past like the Air Jordan 1 Off-White, the Air Jordan 1 Zoom, and the OG Jordan 1. In this video on the basketball shoe, I take a closer look at the style, design, comfort, and overall appeal of the Jordan 1 CMFT in comparison to other versions of the shoe and what the future holds. The BEST thing about jordan 1s now is this CMFT Zoom. Reviewers keep saying oh there's no hype behind them. Yet they ALL sell out. FAST. These are so comfortable. JB probably won't do those in in the OG colorways, I agree.

They just released the “Chicago” colorway like a month ago. I just copped them yesterday it’s just like the og chicago but the toe, tongue, and upper collar and back mid panel is black but they still good imo. They also coming out with a “Hare” colorway hopefully by end of this summer, which I will be copping whenever they do release.

They just dropped a “Chicago” colorway in these like a month ago! I just got mines yesterday and they’re amazing imo. My lady had got the purple, white, blk and sail colorway like two to three months ago and I fell in love with the concept, craftsmanship and materials but I was waiting on a better colorway to pull the trigger on a personal pair, in which they delivered. They got a similar color blocking to the Chicago 1 mids. They also releasing a “Hare” colorway soon with a color blocking similar to the hare 1 mid and hare 7. I honestly can say I like the whole zoom cmft concept for the jordan 1 high the material, craftsmanship, and execution is A1 but like you and everyone else said, the make or break is the colorway and color blocking. Another hot take, I’m honestly digging the craftsmanship and material better than a lot of the og jordan 1 high models. It’s gives this shoe a more exclusive or quick strike type vibe and feel. Overall I give the shoe 8.5/10

Part of me thinks that Nike/Jordan Brand won't do a more traditional retro shoe with Zoom because they're worried it might devalue all the other Jordan 1's. If a new Jordan 1 with the same design and colorways but a blatantly better cushioning method comes out, do all the older J1's lose their prestige? Or maybe it's just a lack of imagination from the top level of a large organization.

Grabbed more than 1 of these for personal. These are so fucking comfortable and the Bayou Boys color way is dope. The green laces look great in them(rock one green and one black). Cant speak highly of these enough. The info strip reminds me ob an OBI strip on Japanese pressings or vinyl records. These are a homerun for the price. If you can get these at retail definitely do so!

That the “Chicago” colorway and I just copped mines yesterday and I love them! It’s slightly different than the og chicago so far as color blocking but it’s good enough for me. It got almost identical color blocking to the Chicago 1 mid they released some months back, in which they executed perfectly for this model. They coming out with a “Hare” colorway soon also, which I will be copping also! Good choice my brother and hopefully you’re enjoying yours like I’m gonna enjoy mines.

So nice I bought em twice. I'm a sucker for the exposed foam, picked up the Crater Zoom Hi 1's also for that reason. The Bayous are very comfy, I really like that they *are* different from every Tom, Dick & Harry's AJ1s. The OG colorways are classic, granted, but pretty tired at this point. These are 💯 fresh. I do have concerns about the durability of the soft-ass green foam outsoles; guess we'll see...

@@Danny-rl6hg Man... TBH I rarely wear them specifically *because* it seems like the sole will just wear away in the middle. I have some runners that are completely lunarlon foam mid & outsole, and yeah, the concrete grinds them down noticably faster than any rubber bottomed shoes I have. But GD! That's sorta dumb. I always say "LIKE the shoes, BUY the shoes, WEAR the shoes". Usually in regards to hypebeasts & resellers, but I need to follow my own creed here. I'll wear a few times weekly & repost in a month.

nike dropped them randomly twice that Im aware of. they sold out in minutes both time. since then they have restocked random sizes but I haven't seen a full restock on them yet. These are sliding under the radar luckily so you can still get for around retail.

My perfect Jordan 1 is the Dark Mocha with an "aged" color midsole like the TS1, cream laces to match the midsole, a zoom insole, and higher quality leather. Would actually like to see them put a whole zoom in the sole... but that would require a rebuild of the Retro Jordan 1... which I would be fine with... as long as the aesthetic stayed the same.

Saw these today in "Black Light Smoke Grey" - $150 and personally I thought they looked awesome, EXCEPT the tongue. It had this unnecessary "zigzag" pattern, it just seemed so out of place and not needed IMO . I can cover that mostly with the laces I suppose. I am not an expert in the sneaker game..I admit I don't keep up, I first saw these CMFT's a few weeks ago at a nearby consignment shop, total mint condition ..I don't think they were ever worn! But these were in green (official name "Stadium Green"). Tried them on, it was 1/2 bigger than I usually take...but the comfort is totally there, a HUGE plus - that green however is not MY look personally so I passed. But "Smoke Gray," yeah...I can wear those! I looked them up and see they were released in Nov. So demand may not be strong like the regular 1's I guess since I am seeing these today? So..I'm still debating hours later, don't know if this store even has my size since the store was a total madhouse with no customer service rep in sight. I'll try first thing tomorrow.

I think the outsole of the cmfts is more durable than the rubber outsoles of a regular aj1s. Because is kinda look like nike used TPU kind of soles on cmfts. TPU soles has the property of being highly resistant to abrasion, has longer life than rubber soles, better resilience property, this makes walking more comfortable, besides having very good gloss and matte finishes. TPU is ultra soft and flexible, lightweight, verygood grip and has a good shock absorption. So I think Cmfts' soles has more edge than the regular jordan 1s'.

I’ve had issues with several CMFT pairs where the insole won’t lay flat and buckles in places, particularly around the inside walls of the upper And while I don’t mind the look of the unfinished edges (although it’s getting played out), I find it uncomfortable if it rubs my skin and I have to make sure I where socks tall enough as a barrier Both of these make the CMFT not very comfortable for me

The issue is that the AJ 1 uses a cup sole. EVA Polymers like Boost and React need space to expand/contract so implementation into a cupsole would more or less make them useless and feel like any old EVA foam over a rubber outsole. This is the same reason you can’t really feel the Boost very well on the Yeezy QNTMs, for example.
