Can't watch X-MEN 97 because I don't have Disney+ and I refuse to subscribe to any streaming service lol. But I loved watching X-MEN when I was a youngling and my favorite character was Beast. He was always so chill but yet could kick some serious a** with his brains, strength and agility. Wolverine was my second favorite, and I always loved when he would go toe to toe with Sabertooth. My favorite line from Wolverine towards Sabertooth is when he called him an "egg sucking piece of gutter trash".

This review made me order the 2020-pair. Resell on those is less then retail for these in my country so I highly prefer a high-top over these. Especially as these do not have the leather tongue and oval laces, which in my view they should have when you "retro" the colorway.

I love the fact they changed the tongue to nylon from leather. The jewel is a nice touch but they could have stitched the logo and tossed in the round laces. 😂 definitely going to have more people wearing these than the 2020 hi top.

While these shoes look alright, I think it's hard for me to go back to the "Retro low OGs" because the 85 joints just fit better for me. What I love about the 85 Jordan 1 lows is the thicker ankle liner that helps prevent ankle slip, whereas on these psuedo low OGs I typically have to go down half a size to prevent heel slippage. In the animated series I was a big fan of Wolverine (as a kid Wolverine was one of my favorites in general in terms of comics). In the show I actually liked Gambit the most, which is strange because I wasn't a huge fan of him as a kid (although I have his first full appearance: Uncanny X-Men #266)

I like the low version better too. I like the grey but like you I don’t care for the metallic silver. I’m glad they didn’t make the midsole in the sail too. I don’t like the stiff leather tongues either. I might be in the minority but I get tired of the white nylon stitching in the midsole. Everybody knows that they are impossible to keep clean. I wish that they would do colors for the nylon stitching.
