I was actually just wearing my 2006 pair yesterday while in the city. I had two youths stop me asked how I'd managed to pick them up before release. They coulcouldn't believe they was the "originals" lol. I'm guessing the shoes was older than they was. I'll cop this new release for sure, even though mine are still basically DS. I wish Jordan brand would retro those chambray's again though. Same goes for the Pacifics.

Back in 06 I was only 11 years old and my cousin got these, I loved them but couldn't get them. Too much money and my parents said I'd grow out of them too fast... Fast forward to 2022 and I was able to cop through the foot locker lottery, tried them on and fit PERFECTLY. first pair of Js I've bought in probably over 10 years. Love them.

Wide foot guide Jordan 1-14 (Personal experience, I am a weird between wide foot/normal. My true to size is a 11.5) 1. Up half a size 2. True to size 3. Up half a size 4. Up a half or even going to size 13 from 11.5 because of the pinky toe no no 5. True to size 6. True to size for wide foots, almost half a size down for normal footers 7. Half a size up only because of the toe box 8. Up half a size but the straps are the wild card, you could go true to size if you don’t tighten the straps 9. True to size for new buck but if you get ones with the patent leather go up half a size 10. Up half a size. Toe box is a bit weird for some reason. 11. So this one is weird, lows I have to go up half a size but the normal, I go true to size. Patent leather for the reason 12. True to size. Another good comfort win. 13. True to size (Currently my go to) 14. Up half a size but you could go true to size

I completely agree with this. I have 11s in size 11 and they fit perfect but I have other 11s in size 12, which I wear 12 in some js like 4s, and they feel huge on me

The review that I've been waiting for! Copped these bad boys and I'm pretty excited to try them on. Maaaaaan you're the only channel I watch in terms of in-depth review of sneakers. I remember how abundant these were in high school. They were never my jam but I appreciated the contrast stitching. I ended up getting the Chambrays back in the day but always wanted the Flints, which I had the opportunity to acquire recently. I would be very happy if they brought the Chambrays back.

I’m excited for these! I bought these back in 2006 as a senior in high school with money from my first real job. I loved them so much and they also came with a matching t-shirt if anyone remembers that. I wore these until they ripped lol. Love the color way.

I agree that the contrast stitching is a bit too much. However I prefer the OG Raptor and Bordeaux colorways. So doesn’t matter. I do own the alternative Olympic and Pantone (which the upper has yellowed BAD just sitting the the drop down box). I use the Pantone’s to work and play ball in outside now.

Always wanted this particular colorway of the 7. The way this shoe was executed in terms of the color blocking is an A+. Just wish the tongue was colorful like other 7's colorways with red and citrus. I mean you cant have it all though. Thanks for another well detail shoe review!

Still got my 06 pair in near DS condition. Materials are soft and lovely, but shape is weird and they are hard to wear. Amazingly, more time in between 06 and 22, than in between the OG in 1992 and the 2006 retro.

I remember in high school around 2006-2007 I was part of a local shoe forum here in Hawaii and someone was selling those pacific blue sail colored 7s for dirt cheap. Think like $70 worn once or twice. Couldn’t afford the more expensive Js so I bought them but my fit at the time was sb dunks and I couldn’t really drip them. Ended up selling em after I wore em a couple times but I also feel like that sail colorway was ahead of the curve fashion wise looking back at it. That colorway was lowkey fire if I’m being honest

I got these as a gift in Summer '06 right before my senior year in HS. I enjoyed having them at the time, but as i got older i felt the colors were too much for me. I ended up selling them, but never regretted having them. I'm still waiting on the retro of the chambrays as well. Never had them, and always did; could never afford them in the second market

I remember waiting outside of Modell's for these for like 2 hours in the rain on Jamaica Ave back in 06'. It was only me and 1 other person and it was the first release to drop on a Wednesday at the time. I love how they finally fixed that banana shape that mens 7's been had for years. First 7 I noticed that on was the PSG's. I think I'm going to go after the Citrus AJ 1 Zoom high this time around. Thanks for the review as always!!

How she commented on how they did too much with the stitching was soo damn accurate for me 😂 I wasn’t a big fan of them when they stayed on shelf at clearance prices back then and I’m not a fan of them now. But ppl siced the release because the OGs were hitting $700+ on stockX due to collection/rarity purposes but once they announced the re release they tanked again on value. But the color scheme is dope, just too much for me. Dope review as always tho🔥
