Thanks Dave. I'm envious of your season! Love springtime in the garden. Just heading into autumn here in the northernhemisphere(Ireland!). Time to wind down for a few months!

Do conifers lend themselves to air layers well? Never tried with anything but deciduous trees.
@Bonsaiworx3 ай бұрын
@@deepanjanbanerjee3491 junipers are relatively easy and it’s all about the timing. Other conifers such as pines and cedars I haven’t experimented with.

I'm wondering when exactly is the best time for me to do this with juniper where I live, early spring yes, but would you recommend waiting till you see new green tips on the foliage, or just early spring in general?
@Bonsaiworx3 ай бұрын
@@DeciduousSnurb really anytime in spring is good. Early spring is the earliest I found you can start.

David, can I assume "Mother" has gone to the great Shimpaku garden in the sky?😭

@@briankavanagh7191 she is doing really well growing as a semi cascade. Haven’t shown her in a while. Will have to do a walkthrough of my shimpaku collection one day.
