So, if im not mistaken, submergance needs to be equal to or greater than lift? So if you had a 50 foot static water level, youd need to submerge your air 100 foot?

Hi Kenny, great job by the way, I have a well in which the water level is about 40 meters below the surface, existing is a 4" pipe coming out within the casing of the well which is 10", i would like to add an airlift pump to increase the water outcome from the well, please advice about the size and depth of the installation, thanks in advance

Hi can you use a trompe to generate the lift? In the right circumstance you have zero moving parts and you get free lift from the pump (right circumstances)

My well is only 71 feet deep, water level is at 53 foot. I put on a flotec virtical pump, got it to prime but no water came out. We were never really ever to clean the well out with air and make a cavern, how much cfm of air for a 2” well casing do I need to do a clean out and able to use my well? Also, I do have 18 feet of water from the 53 foot water table to the bottom of the well.

Hello all. I have this artesian well. Though the yield is low about 15secs per liter. It has a depth of around 340m. I wanted to upgrade the yeild. So I connected a 4kw pump to it powered by solar. In fortunately after connecting it started well, then it stopped. After an hour I put on the power again. It started but went off again after some minutes. Another unfortunate thing is that the free flow has stopped as well. Please should help advice on how to go about this. Thanks

I am a water well contractor in Colorado USA. I do pump and we'll service and drilling. We do well restoring as needed. Air lifting is not an agressive method for rehab but it can be used with other methods to clean up the well.

Thank you for your video sir. I had a question, If I will be using a 1 1/4 pvc pipe. And I go 250 feet into a well, How strong should my air pump be?

There is really two parts to the answer. The first is how much air you need in CFM (or LPM) that depends on how large your well is and what the water depth and production is. Then the second is the pressure you would need that is determined largely by the depth into the water you are setting it from the static water level in the well to the bottom of the pipe. Then you need to add in pipe friction at the CFM you determined earlier. If the entire well had water it would take almost 110 psi to get started so it's within the range of most trailer air compressors. As a guess I would stick with at least 150 cfm for a 5" well.

@@kennykemp2790 Thank you so much Kenny, the water is usually about 10 feet from the top so weve got about 240 feet of water. And the diameter is roughly 8 inches. Basically what I need to do is clean the muddy water out of the well after I finish my bore and install the casing. Usually i do it the old way of pumping water down using my drill pipes, but that takes a very long time due to the proximity of clean water

Mud can quite a bit heavier than water but you should be able to step it down if needed. Start a little higher if you can't build enough pressure to get it going. Take a video when you do and show us how it's working.

Dear sir I have 400feet deep bore well and I have only 100feet water present inside borewell if use 1/2inch riser pipe and 1/2inch air hose, will I get water at ground.or 1inch riser pipe and 1/2inch air hose. If not kindly suggest some suitable solution...

That depends on what size compressor you are using. I would suggest 1 1/2" riser pipe with a check valve on the bottom and put the 1/2" air line inside of the pipe. Keep the air line a couple feet above the check valve. If your compressor is not large enough you can let it build up in the tank and use a valve with a timer to lift in surges.
