Instructions unclear, device does not behave as document says it should, not learning functions.

On my remote, which looks exactly just like that one (not sure of the brand), the steps go like this: 1. Hold the "TV key" for a few seconds 2. Once it starts blinking slowly, you send the ir signal to the remote 3. Press the button where you want that ir signal to be assigned. My issue with that this remote sends the ir signals out very fast and continuous, which works well for volume control but It can only turn the TV on- not off. I had to program another button to turn the TV off.

I've the same problem and still doesn't program with tcl TV remote
