Onboard one of Air New Zealands ATR 72's for a short island hop flight from Christchurch, on New Zealands South Island, across to the Capital city of Wellington, on the North Island. A beautiful short 45 minute flight, out of Christchurch and down the coast for a little while. Before crossing the Cook Straight and descending into a windy Wellington. Some great, scenic views during the flight. Look out for Qantas 737-800 seen on approach ahead of us into Wellington, but then we vacate the runway infront of it after landing.
