This was not Bach's intention but an idea of the 19th century German violinist August Wilhelmj. In my view, Bach's version is by far, the more preferable starting point.

That was an extremely beautiful technical arrangement of this piece. I've heard Itzhak Perham and midori play it, and and James galway on t flute, but she explores real depth of timbre, expression. And she has a slightly unorthodox technique with the bow, and rotation. An amazing performance.

I think it's wonderful that the music "moves"you so much. I wish all the pop-only fans could experience the wonder of sublime music... I pity those who don't want to hear " Classical " because they think it will be " boring " , and would be waiting for the beat to start ! Whenever I listen to any music,it's the impression that it leave you with. The feeling that hold you from within. Bach is one of the very few classical composers that have achieved and mastered this delicate balance of musical compositions embodied with so much sentiments. As if every molecule of someone soul respond to that particular sound. It talk to your feelings,like a star scintillate, its beauty beyond description. Bach music transcend the centuries.
