yep, still on my shelf, loved the cd case design with the coloured dots & multiple holes & slide-out inner sleeve edit: though it did annoy me that it wasn't standard cd case sized so wouldn't fit neatly into racks & stacks!

...ahh playing it again whilst having a read up on wiki: i'm reminded i have the 1999 re-release bonus tracks "Californie" - 2:27 ("California") "Brakes On" - 4:22 Remix of Alex Gopher's "Gordini Mix"* Alternately titled "Gordini Mix" (Brakes On mix) in some regions but that also there exists Japanese bonus tracks "Le soleil est près de moi" (Buffalo Daughter Remix) - 4:48 "Le soleil est près de moi" (Money Mark Remix) - 2:37 *the 12" of which i picked up in a random record shop crate dig many years later; sadly i don't have the original vinyl of this ep from 1997 though

@@mandenen1411 The Ten album from pearl jam which is quite different from this but it was my first favorite band when I was twelve years old, and the other is the Clarity album from Jimmy Eat World. It is also very different from this but if you enjoy this there is a good chance you would appreciate the artistry on that album as well. The last track is 16 minutes long and to some at first, it might seem super repetitive but it is well constructed. For a couple years I would hear something different every time I listen to it. None of these albums encapsulate what I like, I'm clearly all over the place, but as standalone albums, those three were monsters for me.

Other albums: Depeche Mode: Black Celebration Kraftwerk: (Most of their albums but lets mention: Computer World) The Doors: L.A. Woman (but I can listen to most of their albums and them not lose their magic) Air (again, most of their albums) Beastie Boys: (most of their albums) but Hello Nasty! Led Zeppelin: Physical Graffiti, II, I I'm sure there are a bunch more. But those albums are embedded in my brain!!

"Premiers symptômes" is probably a dedicace to Serge Gainsbourg's album "l'homme à la tête de choux", where AIR is taking a part of their inspiration (bass lines for examples, but more obvious on Virgin Suicides soundtrack.
