The ingenuity of this is not the basic siphon system, but how he starts it when using 4-inch diameter pipes to create a vacuum that draws the water up-and-over the levee. I'd put the vacuum creation pipes a little farther down on the outflow side, but this will work. Nicely done.

Im 67 years old. When i was young in the 1960s we would drain entire ponds with 4 four inch plastic pipes like this. After water was 90 percent gone we would take all the fish out snd have a community fish fry to raise money for our church. Once the pond refilled we'd restock fish and do again in 3-4 years.

​@@Neildo430ci Nothing new happening here, hydroelectricity is just a way to extract the potential energy of water flowing downhill, the system pictured is just a simple "auto siphon" of sorts, where the water is very much flowing downhill, you could easily reverse and old washing machine motor or the like to convert the motion of the water into the motion of electrons across a circuit. What I don't fully understand is why he used 2 junctions instead of one, as the weight of the water in the "down" pipe after being manually filled is what provides the "suction" in the "up" pipe coming from the river, this is a great way to irrigate a low lying field, but the crops in any such field would need to be fully flood-resistant, as they lie below the river, which won't always hold its course.

This type Water primer is not necessary if you used a same pipe diameter inline style pump with a in line one way check valve to block back pressure . You can get the same kind of squeeze hand pump they use on fuel barrels/drums ,just to get the fuel started do this with the same for water also

If you fill a garden hose with water, and simultaneously drop one end into water and the other at a lower elevation, the gravity-fed water running out of the pipe will create low pressure and air will push the elevated water source into the pipe. This works best with 2 people. His system eliminates the need for the 2nd person.

I'm sure I would have used it if I had, like I use one of those proper syphon hoses now, you know, the ones with the ball valve in them, you simply shake them in the fuel till it starts running. Схема рабочая, может качать и вверх, это неравноплечий сифон! обычно просто над колодцем или прудом ставится на высоких опорах герметически закрытая бочка, заранее заполненая водой через воронку с краном, в которую сверху заходит приточная труба из колодца, а за счёт обьёма воды в бочке и длинной исходящей магистрали вес отходящей воды засасывает воду приточной, более короткой трубой! Всё элементарно, Ватсон, работает без применения электроэнергии и электронасосов! Идея гениальная по своей простоте, а я то думал, придется мне на огород воду с оврага гидроударом подымать!

Sorry but not correct. An aqueduct moves water from higher level to lower levels by means of man made canals and without “lifting”. This is a siphon. It moves water over an obstacle higher than the initial water level. Naming it an aqueduct will mislead.

It's called a siphon. Water source has to be higher than the output. In this case, the river level is higher than the field. His method is a nice way to prime the pipe.

If it went upwards, no water would come out on the other end. It's using the Archimedes principle. If it wasn't, this would be a perpetuum mobile. Those don't exist in the real world...

Мне интересно что блять за трубы у них такие. Да еще и доступны во всех этих роликах каждому. Тут в ванную туалет поменять пластик охереваешь от ценников. @@jamesrsnyder6951 it’s over complicated. He could just bag the bottom end, have a 45° elbow at the top with a line to the water supply, fill from the top and twist into the water supply, then release the bottom plug. You are over thinking a simplistic system.

O vídeo não mostra toda a extensão do cano, mas se funciona, como o vídeo sugere a água não é bombeada por muito tempo pois quebra a segunda lei da termodinâmica.

Build you a nice easy build wire basket to go around your intake pipe and that will keep the trash from stopping it up.. just get some wire and some wire cutters and you can weave the wire and make nice basket to put around your intake pipe..😊

Or use bigger pipe and put the wire basket on the other end. You can easy catch fish this way.
